25.01.2022 Zoe Black, Founder, director and CEO of Happy Paws Happy Hearts Foundation has been nominated for the QCF 2020 Philanthropy Innovation Award by Peter Ball at Greater Outcomes Pty Ltd . HPHH was established in 2014 to support individuals to receive important training, skills development opportunities and gain confidence so they may go forward with further integration in employment and society generally. HPHH also works with rescue animals to better prepare them increase the c...hances of being adopted long term by their next loving family. HPHH supports individual participants that often have a range of issues including disabilities (intellectual and physical) and mental health issues (stress, anxiety, depression, bipolar, PTSD). Creating a safe space and structured programs for them to work with rescue animals has proven to generate remarkable outcomes for both the individuals and the animals. The onset of COVID created issues for the face to face programs delivered at Wacol, poarticualrly as many of the participants were more susceptible and high risk. Within a week HPHH had established an online training space that continued to allow participants to engage, a very necessary action to avoid isolation Congratulations on your nomination, Zoe, now more than ever your work will be making a difference to many humans and hounds that are happier thanks to you

She works to ensure there are support systems in place for Indigenous students to feel welcome in higher education, to thrive, and to succeed in their chosen careers. Kats experiences and willingness to share them at education expos, with students at her former primary and high school, and with her peers, motivates them to undertake exchange programs, pursue opportunities, and progress their education. Kat is an outstanding young leader within the university community. Her passion and capabilities will see her play an important leadership role in the legal community in a way that will unite people from different cultural backgrounds and will foster the type of inclusive society from which all Australians will benefit. 01.01.2022 Happy 90th Birthday Warren Buffett, businessman and philanthropist who has donated billions of dollars to charity. Just last month, Buffett gave away another $2.9 billion, bringing his total donations since 2006 to $37 billion. Buffett has said he will give away more than 99% of his fortune, with the bulk going to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation; a charity founded by Buffetts late wife, Susan Thompson Buffett; and charities run by each of his three children.... Warren Buffett also inspires and encourages others to give, and in 2010 teamed up with Bill and Melinda Gates and created the "Giving Pledge" - an initiative to get as many fellow billionaires as possible to commit to give away the majority of their wealth to charity. To date, more than 200 billionaires from around the world have signed on.
