25.01.2022 We offer a cooking demonstration twice a week at CQDS Chinchilla . One of very talented clients who has a passion for food demonstrates a bbq dish at our Thur...sday Bbq which is very popular with our disabled clients in Chinchilla. Not only is it a fun social activity for all, where your Disability is never spot lighted as we are all the same, it is a place to feel safe as is our Monday cooking class at our premises 75-77 Chinchilla Road around the back of Dominoes. Each event costs $5 and you get a mean feed included and an assortment of drinks. Please call 0413558899 if you’d like to register your interest. Support workers or a family memeber are also most welcome to support you for free. Everyone in our camp is happy and we’d like to share the joy. See more

25.01.2022 One of our clients doing a spot of welding. Did a lovely job too. Sometimes a bit of encouragement to do something you think you can’t do ends in a top notch job and a proud moment for client and care support companion alike

13.01.2022 Toby’s Mincey Mess One of my lovely clients cooked dinner in respite tonite. It looked messy but it was absolutely Devine . Had a hint of Curry but really just a high class Spag Bog to be honest. This recipe will feed 6 people easily but will fill four big size dinner plates or 5 takeaway containers for freezing. 7 - 10 minutes in the microwave and it will taste as fresh as the day it was made Nicest Spag Bog I’ve ever had. Throw all of this in an electric frying ...pan for half an hour .... Bellissimo. Ingredients: Mince 1 kilo Neopolitan sauce 1 tsp curry powder 2 tsp of crushed garlic or four cloves of fresh garlic 1 jar of essential chunky paste sauce 5 to 6 cloves crushed or chopped 1 tsp of Moroccan seasoning A good dash of mixed herbs or Italian herbs. 1 tsp of Ginger 1 packets of bolognaise powder mix Angel hair noodles.

12.01.2022 Same struggles as everyone else...... same end result.

07.01.2022 Hey Australia! JUST A REMINDER THE SURVEY CLOSES MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. The Federal Government is seeking information for a review about autism in Australia. It i...s vital that the experiences of autistic people and their families are heard. Please complete the survey below to help make this happen. The Australian Autism Alliance, a group of 12 organisations from across Australia, is working on a submission to the Federal Senate’s Select Committee on Autism. The Select Committee on Autism has been established to look into and report on the services, support and life outcomes for autistic people in Australia. It is also considering the need for a National Autism Strategy, which the Alliance advocated for during the 2019 Federal Election and our Change 4 Autism Manifesto. To inform the submission, the Autism Alliance is conducting a consultation with autistic people (aged 18+) and family members and carers, to ask them about their experiences. This consultation includes a survey that opens for contributions today. The information that is collected will be submitted and will play a crucial role in shaping future policy and services for the autism community. So please grab a cuppa and share your experiences, concerns, what supports and services may be working for you. The survey will take around 30 minutes depending on how many details you provide.
