02.01.2022 Queensland Foodies FNQ Road Trip - Airlie Beach: Our last night in Airlie and as we had decided to make the last leg of our road trip home to Hervey Bay in one jump the next day; the last night of our FNQ road trip. Luckily, we saved the best till last, choosing to partake our last supper at Airlie's iconic Fish D'vine. From the attentive service from Louis & Mia to the astonishing beverages menu courtesy of their incredible Rum Bar Airlie Beach to their finely tuned dishes ...on their superb menu, dining at Fish D'vine was absolutely that. The BBQ'ed Bowen prawns were deliciously brimming with flavour, the green Thai spanish mackerel curry the best ever, and the char grilled sirloin steak with Potato au gratin, mushroom puree, heirloom carrots, & finished with a beef jus was divine, as evidenced by the after-plate. And starting the evening with an aged Old New Orleans rum was somehow the best decision ever made. Fish D'vine & The Rum Bar recently moved around the corner from the end of the Airlie Beach Main Street to now be perfectly located on the beach front. If you're looking to experience tropical dining at its best, look no further. Ooh, did I mention the cooking classes & rum journeys on offer? Next time we visit, they are top of our bucket list.
