24.01.2022 We are absolutely loving having artists back to showcase their art in our building This month, drop in and see the amazing works in the "Heart Journey" exhibition by Queensland Guangxi Multicultural Communities. Artists of Australian-Chinese backgrounds, including both children and adults, have created works depicting their experiences and personal journeys living in both China, and their second home, Australia. Another part of the exhibition also includes artworks that mir...ror the artists’ experiences of living with the COVID-19 restrictions and shutdowns. In addition to traditional oil, ink, watercolour and acrylic paintings, the exhibition also features artworks that incorporate healing properties, which is a highlight of this exhibition. 15.01.2022 Pasifika Wave presents award-winning documentary Marks of Mana, an exclusive Queensland Premiere showing at QMC this month. Marks of Mana explores the sacred tatau practise of Papuan Makmak, Moko Kauae, Fijian Veiqia, and the Samoan Malu. The film follows the journey of several Pasifika women who are reclaiming the art of tatau in memory of their ancestors. 10.01.2022 Dust is a Tragicomedy performed by renowned Serbian actors Natasa Ninkovic & Zoran Cvijanovic. The play showcases how a couple, who is living on the brink of poverty has their life suddenly changed overnight by winning the lottery. The performances explores the eternal question of what it means to be happy and will both make the audience laugh and connect with the actors. U-next is proud to bring this production in conjunction with the Serbian National Theatre. This play is performed in the Serbian language. Get your tickets here

Today, Lily finishes up with us to move to Melbourne. We are sure she will miss the QLD sunshine , but we will miss her smiling face and beautiful spirit. We thank you for all your hard work, but most of all, we thank you for the wonderful memories and friendship Lily.
