04.01.2022 QPSA's goal this year is to reach out to the broader community and help those in need. As allied health students, we recognise the importance of blood donations; in Australia alone, one blood donation is needed every 20 seconds to match patient demand. However, each donation can save up to 3 lives. That's why every year, QPSA participates in the NAPSA vampire cup, in which all the pharmacy schools in Australia compete for the title of most blood donations. We are currently in... second place, and with only 10 days to go, we would love to see our UQ pharmacy students, and their friends and family, rally together to save as many lives as possible. We are incredibly grateful and proud of those who have already helped us save 96 lives and raise $550 for the Australian Red Cross, but we are hoping to push these numbers as high as possible before Vampire Cup ends on May 25th. If you would like to help save lives, please check out the information below. We are currently running donations in groups to help those nervous about donating - contact Grace Quach or Rheanna Norris for dates/times.
