24.01.2022 Plumbing Tip The Garbage Disposal - While certainly dangerous and ravenous for food debris, garbage disposals are not designed to eat everything. Bigger chunks of food should go into the garbage; never try to choke it with a ton of waste, either. Try slowly scraping plates to avoid a clog.

14.01.2022 Today was almost a childhood dream come true at the Brisbane Broncos. But instead of running around with a football, we were running around fixing water leaks! Hopefully Thursday nights game against the Roosters ends with a win. Good luck boys.
14.01.2022 When most people think about heat-related issues in their homes, they immediately think of the air conditioner being on the fritz. After all, nobody wants to sit around in a house that feels like the sauna. However, hot weather can also cause some plumbing issues that are difficult to deal with for the average homeowner. While you may be more worried about your AC, your plumbing should be a top priority now if you dont want big repair bills later like the Andrews Story back ...in 2012. Leaks Most people think leaks are going to be a problem in the fall and winter, However, leaks can definitely occur in the warm summer months because of stress. The reason pipes leak in the summer is that swimming pools, garden hoses, and sprinklers can put a lot of stress on your plumbing. The ground under your home drying out with a lack of rain can also cause your water main to crack or leak when its particularly hot outside. If you have an obvious leak that you can access the best thing you can do is to replace the portion of pipe that is leaking. You may need to turn your water main off to do this depending on the location of the pipe. Structural Damage UV rays beating down on your exposed pipes summer after summer can result in some serious damage like broken or cracked pipes. While it could take years to happen to you, the first signs of structural damage should be dealt with as soon as possible. Replace any exposed plumbing around your home and use insulation to cover it in the future. It isnt the heat that causes the damage, its the suns UV rays. Call Queensland Plumbing Pty Ltd today on 07 3881 1888 to receive a free service plan so we can provide your home with important routine maintenance and inspections at least once per year.

07.01.2022 A bit of pipe freezing in the Valley. When there is no way to turn your water off... We freeze it with liquid nitrogen. At 196 degrees below 0, the water inside the pipes forms an ice plug pretty quickly.
07.01.2022 So here's what happened today. 6 meters of tree roots removed, 3 metres of storm water pipe replaced and 1 happy customer. Bring on the rain.

05.01.2022 Queensland Plumbing Pty Ltd services to help with all of your residential and commercial plumbing needs. Backflow prevention and testing is a necessity for apartments, buildings, restaurants, and other public places. Local council codes require annual backflow testing, so if your property or business needs professional help Queensland Plumbing Pty Ltd can take care of it What is Backflow? Backflow is contaminated water that has reversed flow, thereby entering clean water lin...es to homes and businesses. This is typically caused by a significant change in water pressure, from a burst water main, frozen pipe, or unexpectedly high demand on the water system. Backflow can occur at any cross-connection between clean and dirty water in residential, commercial, or industrial water lines. Backflow may contain hazardous materials like human waste, pesticides, or chemicals, so it poses a serious health concern. Backflow Prevention and Testing To safeguard against backflow, a backflow prevention device may be installed. In the case of an unexpected or dramatic change in water pressure, this device will prevent backflow from entering the clean water supply. However, it is important that this device is properly installed and tested to ensure that the clean water line remains free of contaminants. Council codes require annual testing of backflow prevention devices to ensure that they are functioning properly. If testing is not completed on time, your property or business water supply might be interrupted and you may be fined. That is why we recommend scheduling backflow testing well ahead of time. Call us to schedule testing for your business or property now on 07 3881 1888 See more

Make repairs to save water.... Ensure that all drains have strainers to prevent hair, soap and debris from clogging the drain lines. Inspect toilet tank and bowl for cracks or leaks. Exercise water supply valves under sinks and toilets to prevent them from sticking. Make sure toilets flush properly.
