25.01.2022 This Saturday 10th October Queensland Raceways is hosting QR 300 & QRDC Round 8 and it has one of the biggest line-ups of the year! Headlining the event, we have the Production car 300-endurance race under lights plus our top 10x shootout Plus, other categories though-out the day include Australian Trans-am, QR Sports and Sedans Queensland Touring car Championship, Production Sports Cars.... With entries expected to be up to 140 vehicles split across 5x awesome categories we are expecting this to be exciting day and night of racing. 19.01.2022 AMRS Welcomes Spectators for Round 3 at Queensland Raceway Motorsport enthusiasts in the Sunshine State will be able to soak up the sights and sounds of live racing action when the Australian Motor Racing Series (AMRS) heads to Queensland Raceway for Round 3 on 23-25 October. Series management today confirmed spectators will be permitted to attend the venue and enjoy an assortment of fan-favourite categories headlined by the V8-powered TA2 Muscle Car Series.... Also on the program will be the Series X3 (Hyundai Excel) QLD category, which typically provides exciting door-to-door racing and has become established as a legitimate breeding ground for future stars of the sport. Fans of classic Aussie machinery will enjoy the HQ Holden races, which will be highlighted by a one-hour endurance race on the Sunday afternoon. Also running a long-distance race will be the Super GT series, which is open to production sports and GT3-spec cars as well as MARC I and MARC II cars, familiar to fans through their appearances at events such as the Bathurst 12 Hour. Making its first appearance at the AMRS will be the newly-created Enduro Champs category, which will test the stamina of cars and drivers across four one-hour endurance races. Enduro Champs is open to a range of production-based vehicles and the Queensland Raceway event will be the curtain raiser for a full championship in 2021. The program will be rounded out by the QLD Open Wheelers, which will be open to purpose-built open-wheel machinery such as Formula Ford and Formula 3 vehicles. AMRS Series Manager Matt Baragwanath said the event is a must-attend for race fans who have been starved of action in 2020. Due to COVID-19, there has been virtually no national-level motorsport in South East Queensland this year, so we’re pleased we can deliver a spectator-friendly event next weekend, Mr Baragwanath said. Queensland Raceway is a prime spectator track, because there is excellent visibility of the entire track from most vantage points, which makes it easy to follow the action. We’ve attracted a wide variety of categories, which will quench the appetite of people who want to enjoy a day or a weekend soaking up the race track atmosphere. Road cars to race cars are welcome at general practice events! Open Sprints the Open Sprints are designed for Road registered, unregistered and race cars. From Volvo's to Formula One race cars are welcome to compete in Queensland Raceways Open Sprints. The Open Sprints are held over 12 rounds with results counting towards the end of year trophies. The Series is divided into seven categories. Road registered: 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder, 8 cylinder and AWD Unregistered and race cars: Up to 2000cc, 2001cc to 4000cc and over 4000cc.
