11.01.2022 Just outside of our base at Shute Harbour you will find the lovely Bauer Bay on South Molle Island. Bauer is a protected anchorage from the South and South-E...ast winds and a convenient place to spend your first or last night. Things to do at Bauer Bay: Fishing is possible in this area; it's a Yellow Zone Conservation Park. There's a walking track from the beach which makes up part of the Ngaro Sea Trail. The walk goes along the side of the abandoned golf course and goes up to Spion Kop Lookout with its fantastic views over to Unsafe Passage, across to Daydream Island and even as far as Hamilton Island. South Molle Island is a significant place for the Ngaro people. A sleep-aboard allows you to stay on... your boat at our private jetty the night before your booking. The advantage is you'll get to know your vessel before heading to the islands, and you'll be able to start your briefing earlier in the morning, giving you more time to arrive at your first anchorage.
