12.01.2022 Since Markets & Melodies has been sadly cancelled this year, we've excited to share photos and memories of previous concerts. Our last reflection is on 2019, with the recollections of our hard working Fair Coordinator Jodie: "I love putting the Markets together with my fabulous crew of volunteers who run & help out on the stalls; the donation of goods by families. It’s about community and spending time with friends & family before performing for them all & each other. I have missed putting together the Markets and watching the kids run around hype'd on chocolate, performing, followed by the sheer exhaustion I usually fall into Monday after drop off!

A Masters-level graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and the recipient of a Bachelor of Arts in Drama (QUT), Annie brings a wealth of performing and teaching experience to her teaching studio. She currently teaches at St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School and is director of the Pre-tertiary Classical and Children’s Musical Theatre programmes at the Sound Thinking Australia Summer and Winter Schools. While based in London, Annie appeared regularly on the concert platform, performing as soloist with the English Concert Singers in such prestigious venues as St John’s Smith Square. In Australia, Annie has performed as soloist with Opera Queensland, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Army Band, Underground Opera and The Seven Sopranos. She is also a founding member of critically acclaimed chamber ensemble, Soirées Musicales Quintette. Annie has a great interest in staying up to date with current research about singing and singing teaching. This interest has led to her being published in Australian Voice, the journal of the Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing (ANATS). She has also been a presenter at ANATS symposiums and a guest speaker for the Vocal Pedagogy department at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Annie is delighted to be guest adjudicator at the Queensland Show Choir’s President’s Trophy Night Finals, as she is passionate about helping young people to achieve artistic excellence in a fun, supportive environment.
