22.01.2022 Sadly Australian Taekwondo Queensland announces the resignation of the Chairperson of the board, Mel Locke. Mel Locke was an Independent board member who took up the position in July 2017. Mel was the guiding light for ATQ and the driving force for good governance, restructuring of the constitution, open communication and the regaining of funding from the State Government. Mel joined the state body with absolutely no knowledge of taekwondo and has learnt much of our loved ...martial art. She has invested a lot of time into this organisation and leaves us in a very strong position. Mel leaves us with a heavy heart and will be investing more time into her personal life and personal business and assures us she is always willing to provide advice and guidance to the taekwondo community. On behalf of the board and members of ATQ we thank you for your service to the martial arts community. See more
22.01.2022 Today Australian Taekwondo released the 2021 packages for membership to head instructors. ATQ has been fighting for this for the last three years and is grateful for Australian Taekwondo’s support. This money will be reinvested into the future of Taekwondo in Queensland.

13.01.2022 The board of ATQ would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 2020 will go down in history as one of the strangest years our world has faced for some time. Queensland has faced fires and pandemics and now possibly floods. Taekwondo has come out of all of this in a new world and we believe in a stronger position than we came into 2020. In 2021 ATQ will be offering more opportunities to our members at a local and Regional level with elite training ...camps, sanctioned tournaments and training opportunities. Keep an eye on our social media pages and website for more information. We hope all our members have a very safe Christmas and we will see you in the New Year. Stay safe.
