25.01.2022 Had a great tour with Jasrie and Jo last week-chatting about marriage equality and where things are at in our region including in Singapore and Sth Korea. Two lovely guys it was a pleasure to have

22.01.2022 Sunday before last, a few of us went down to the Hayes Theatre Co for their monthly piano-bar sing-along with amazing pianist #StevenKreamer...and wow, was there singing A few snaps from the night here - one might be around 20 years earlier...not too hard to guess which that is By the by, if you're visiting or a local who has never heard of it, Hayes Theatre in Potts Point/Kings Cross is a fabulous, intimate theatre that puts on outstanding musicals, from Broadway hits, such as Rent and Cabaret, to local gems, such as Miracle City...definitely worth checking out their productions if you are musically inclined :)

19.01.2022 Sydney Writers Festival 2018 is upon on this May once again, and we have had the privilege of attending many excellent talks. From a queer-perspective, we heard a bunch of authors, including Masha Gessen, Carmen Maria Machado, and Christos Tsiolkas discuss reading queerly throughout life, even when characters are not ostensibly queer, while Andre Aciman, author of Call Me By Your Name, told how us he sees everything through am ambivalent lense, something he shares with his book’s protagonist. It has been very stimulating and interesting to hear more from the local and international writers I admire so much!

17.01.2022 Busy time in the city... Chinese New Year 2018 sculptures along the Circular Quay foreshore! Beautiful funny fun If you’re in town, definitely worth popping down

13.01.2022 We went this evening to the amazing the Mardi Gras Museum of Love & Protest, which looks back across four decades of the parade’s history with stunning costumes, photographs, film and video footage, and iconic posters of each year’s festival. It is beautifully presented, and it is on until tomorrow 5pm. A historic exhibition, very worth seeing! #SydneyMardiGras, #mardigras2018, #mardigras40, #Sydney

04.01.2022 On this very warm Sunday just passed, I had the great pleasure of guiding Bella, who hails from Shandong province in China, around Sydney's gay cultural, historic sites. We discussed how social acceptance of LGBT people can seem to be slow everywhere, but that progress is being made, both here and there. She was an absolute delight to show around - thank you Bella!
