24.01.2022 Continuation of the Italian Language for Beginners https://quercusbeechworth.com.au/.../continuation-of-the.../ Italian, a Romantic language, is closely related to all of the other languages in the same family, like Spanish, French, and Portuguese, to name a few. For this reason, Italian is often considered one of the easiest languages for English speakers to learn. The course will continue from Lesson 3 and is open to all students who want to refresh and continue their Ita...lian Language learning. There is a minimum number of participants (6) before the course can proceed and also a maximum number due to Covid and room capacity, so book early. The course will last for 10 weeks with a mid course break. It will be held each Tuesday at our Quercus Meeting Room. Course dates: 13, 20 and 27 July 3, 10, 24 and 31 August 7, 14 and 21 September The course is open to new students as well. 23.01.2022 Christmas market stall holder Judy is a contemporary painter and fine art jeweller. Her love for the visual arts and in particular painting evolved in Beechworth as a child, drawing inspiration from the surrounding environment. During the past four years Judy has been studying metal smithing and jewellery making. She has developed a real passion in this area. Particularly interested in the use of colour and texture, using different surface treatment techniques to create individual pieces of jewellery. These requirements are in line with settings that were in place at Christmas time. Face masks continue to be mandatory in the following locations:... on public transport when riding in a ride share or taxi inside shopping centres, including the retail stores inside shopping centres, such as clothing stores inside indoor markets in large retail stores (over 2000 sqm), such as department stores, electronics stores, furniture stores, hardware stores or supermarkets on domestic flights to and from Victoria at airports in hospitals. You must always carry a face mask with you when you leave home unless you have a lawful reason not to. It is strongly recommended you wear one whenever you cannot keep 1.5 metres distance from others.

10.01.2022 Why are op shops so important? There are three simple reasons. A large number of community programs are funded by the income from charity op shops. These programs would struggle without generous donations to op shops. Op shops help many Australians to find a bargain. They also help people who are having a hard time. Buying second-hand is a great to reduce our impact on the environment. And donating good quality products keeps them from going to landfill!
