To be an effective handyman, you will be skilled and hard-working, with outstanding problem-solving abilities. Skillful hands, good physical stamina, and strong technical knowledge are important parts of the successful candidates talents. **Handyman duties and responsibilities -Perform tasks including painting and filling crevices, clean facilities and managing maintenance repairs. -Perform repairs on apartments equipment or appliances. -Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs. -Respond to guests maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. -Repair plumbing, electrical and safety systems. -Perform lighting repairs -Suggest additional repairs when identified and needed **Handyman requirements and qualifications -High school diploma or equivalent qualification required. -A minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role. -Experience with appropriate electrical tools and equipment -Solid experience with plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems. -Extremely organized with good time management skills. -Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Melbourne in 1936, Lucey went on to work at the pathology department at the Royal Perth Hospital at CSIRO in Sydney, before returning to Melbourne to work for ov...er 30 years in the microbiology lab 'up 72 steps' on the top floor of the south tower. Lucey was the first woman employed in a technical role by the Board of Works, and she and her two female assistants were the only three women who worked there before it closed in 1965. After Lucey became head of a new section at the Pumping Station, she embarked on a working holiday overseas, including two months at the Metropolitan Water Board in London and laboratories in the US. Our team was on-site in Williamstown early this morning to kick-off installation for the Hobsons Bay Business has Heart Outdoors program. Council has been working closely with local businesses that have opted-in to the program and we are so excited to see it come to life. HBBHH Outdoors activation spaces will be located outside participating businesses in Williamstown, including along Nelson Place, the Strand, Cole Street and Parker Street. Council is currently working with businesses on Ferguson Street and Douglas Parade and activations in these spaces will follow. We’re taking to the footpaths and parking bays. All roads will remain open for motorists and cyclists. We love seeing our community getting outside and enjoying the transformation of our streets into vibrant outdoor areas. After a weekend of sunshine drawing crowds to the bay, it is important to remember to have fun and stay safe.
