23.01.2022 When it comes to executing successful product ranges, colour choice is one of the most critical decision a designer can make. In 2015 I was working on the popular Cheeki Stainless Steel Bottles and the decision was made to add a new colour to their insulated drinking bottles range. Choosing a colour is deceptively challenging. I undertake a vast amount of background research, covering fashions, demographics, interiors and general design trends. I then focus specifically on th...at products core market and forecasted colour trends. Every colours palette range itself need to be examined in depth, the slightest change in shade can alter the emotional connection with a product. I was very happy with my final colour range choice and accurately predicted its trend potential.
