Although it may be 2 weeks until the full extent of the self isolation recommendations will be seen. 24.01.2022 Further information relating to COVID19 as released by the Department of Health to assist people in making an informed decision as to whether or not they choose to receive the vaccine. Residential aged care facility (RACF) workers and residents, GPs, other health professionals and people who regularly provide care and support visits or volunteer within RACFs will be among the first people who can choose to have the vaccine.

21.01.2022 Its been a requirement for some time to enter an aged care facility you require evidence of influenza immunisation. Lots of talk now about how the Covid vaccine will be rolled out and the restrictions around who, when, and how this will affect those visiting or working in the system. Hope it has smooth implementation for those of us involved in the industry.
19.01.2022 At Quickfire we are continuing our training where possible, whilst maintaining social distancing, group numbers and the correct infection control measures. Our Consultants have completed the Australian Government Infection Control e-learning and have had the Afluria Quad (up to date flu shot for 2020). Be assured we are taking all steps necessary to ensure the health and safety of both our employees and those of our clients. Guidelines for Training Attendees: Do not ...attend a training session if you are feeling unwell, have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth areas. Covering your cough and sneezes with your elbow or tissue dispose of tissue immediately. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and/or alcohol-based hand rubs, prior to - during (as necessary) - and again after the training session. Maintain social distancing of at least 1 metre (3 feet) between yourself and others. Our Consultants will: not conduct a session if they are unwell or displaying symptoms; maintain good hygiene practices at all times; ensure social distancing is observed; ensure there is limited contact with attendees touching surfaces or sharing writing implements within the training environment; clean and sanitise frequently used objects within the training environment. Our priority is to ensure that both our Consultants and those attending our training sessions remain healthy and that our clients training needs continue to be met. 11.01.2022 We are now returning to deliver onsite training to our clients. Our Consultants are delighted to be back doing what they do best, delivering site specific emergency training. Tasmania in particular has done an outstanding job of dealing with the Covid19 pandemic, and as a small business we will continue with the processes we have adopted to manage health and safety. Remaining vigilant and practising hygiene and social distancing will be a permanent component of our business moving forward.

08.01.2022 NOVEL CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) COMMITMENT TO OUR CLIENTS Quickfire Emergency Management Pty Ltd are conscious of the heightened levels of concern for the health and wellbeing of our clients, their residents/patients and employees in the Aged and Health Care sectors, due to COVID-19 impacting the community. We have been closely monitoring the evolving situation and briefing our Consultants daily on all information and recommendations provided by the World Health Organisation, Ag...ed Care Quality & Safety Commission and the Chief Medical Office of Australia. As with previous influenza outbreaks within this sector, our Consultants will continue to be vigilant and value the basic standards of hygiene which include handwashing, avoiding close contact, coughing/sneezing etiquette, annually receive vaccinations relevant to influenza and indeed will not enter any facility or site should they present with any cold or flu like symptoms. Quickfire employees have also committed to a no overseas travel policy, commencing immediately - for an indefinite period of time - to further alleviate any concern amongst our client base. In addition, we will adhere to any infection control protocols that may be required of us in the delivery of our service to our clients.
