10.01.2022 One question we get asked is what happens during winter when timber naturally expands? Here is an imprint shown on a Jarrah decking board. The spacer has held its position in the deck while the board has expanded leaving behind an exact imprint on the side of the board. This has not damaged board but the spacer did assist in keeping the gap open between the decking boards the ventilation and airflow is critical to allowing the timber to dry out. When laying the boards up to the QUIKLII Deckspacer you only need to make general light contact. There is no need for extra hard pressure or clamping pressure to be applied. The deck boards can just make general contact with the spacer so when expansion begins there is already some tolerance.

03.01.2022 Thanks for the review Premier Hardwood Decking "Recently I installed a Jarrah deck using the 4mm Deckspacer from Quiklii. I found that they were very easy to put in place, and stayed in place before I applied the next board. The Deckspacer allowed me to install up to 6 rows at a time as there were even gaps through out. I found I saved time installing the boards, rather than installing each row separately as I did in the past.... I would recommend using the Deckspacer clips to anyone who plans to install a deck in the future. We will be using them as standard from now on. Great product!"
