First image of the Jewel of the West created by master jeweller Alan Thomson for the Haulmark Trailers Fashions on the Field Millinery Prize, 4 May at the Brown and Hurley Quilpie Cup. Valued at over $4000 this beautiful piece of bespoke jewellery features a rare Mt. Margaret crystal opal set in 18 carat gold, superbly enhanced by a sapphire and diamond duo. 22.01.2022 Last weekend George and Eustie and the Terlings ponies travelled 600kms out to Quilpie to support the Quilpie Diggers Race Club's weekend of Outback Polo on The... Lake. Approx. 100 polo ponies comprising of 6 teams made the journey from all over NSW and QLD and 300 spectators enjoyed an exciting weekend of polo in the red dust. For the first weekend this season, the brothers did not have to compete against one another. Eustie playing for North Star drew 3-3 in the Subsidiary Final and George playing for Goondiwindi beat the Quilpie side captained by Glen Gilmore in the A Grade Final. Once again we would like to thank our sponsors EVM for helping keep the ponies healthy and happy, Anna and Nic for their consistent hard work and the Quilpie District for their hospitality and energy and enthusiasm in such severe drought conditions. The Terlings team will take 3 weeks break now before heading to Beaudesert to compete in the Qld. Gold Cup. Message Quilpie Diggers with any queries. There's also free camping for race day patrons as well as a Booze Bus running throughout so no need to take a risk driving after a big day & night!
