25.01.2022 I have been carrying the Westalee rulers for DSM quilting for a little while now and have just placed an order with Patchwork With Busyfingers (mostly papers for la Passacaglia, but a few other items as well). So come and visit the shop to see the new items! If I don't have it in stock, I can order it in (and save you the postage!).

11.01.2022 Quilting classes are recommencing this Monday! Either bring your own UFO’s (unfinished objects) or I will teach a sampler quilt a new block each week, learning a new technique with each block. When the blocks are finished, you will learn how to quilt the layers together then assemble the quilt with sashing in the QAYG (quilt as you go) method. Ring me on 5530 3439 for fabric requirements and any further details. I will also give a small gift to anyone who brings (or recommends) someone to the classes. 10.01.2022 Quilting classes are underway again for the new term! Monday mornings, 9.30am - 1pm, $20. I'm also looking for EOI for a Thursday morning and/or Saturday morning class and/or social sewing group. We would love to see some new people - absolutely no experience needed. I teach a "Quilt as you go" sampler quilt for beginners, but you are welcome to bring your own projects that you need help with as well. These are some of the recently finished quilts by myself and class members.

09.01.2022 Some of the fabulous quilts finished recently by ladies in my quilting classes! The first one is the beginners' sampler quilt and the others were designed and made for family or friends. We have a new class about to start with options for layout, size and blocks. It will be teaching "Quilt as you go" with no sashing on the front. Classes are 9.30am to 1pm Monday mornings (and a Saturday morning class starting soon). Absolutely no experience necessary - I will teach everything from choosing and cutting your fabric to quilting and assembling your quilt. Please comment or PM me for further information. Gael

07.01.2022 Hi, everyone! Quilting classes will resume for 2018 next Monday, 29th January at 9:30am until 1:00pm. All are welcome, whether you have sewn before or a complete beginner! You can bring your own projects or I will teach a sampler class (as shown in the attached video). Your first lesson is free where I will explain fabric, etc requirements if you are doing the sampler. Current class members will receive a shop voucher for each new person you bring along.

07.01.2022 Are you looking for something different for your children/grandchildren to do these summer holidays? I'm going to be running sewing classes on Wednesday mornings 10th and 17th January, suitable for older primary school/high school students. The first class will be learning the basics of using a sewing machine and making this cushion (I will make up a variety of kits for them to choose from). The ones in the photos were made by my eight year old granddaughter her first time using a sewing machine. There will be a maximum of eight students in the class so will run a second class on another day if necessary. Classes will be $20 per lesson including all materials (discount for siblings). 05.01.2022 Quilting classes have resumed again on Monday mornings (9.30am - 1pm) at my home in Mudgeeraba. I am planning to start Saturday morning ones on Saturday, 2nd February, especially for those working Monday to Friday and also open to high school children (at a reduced price for two hour lessons). Absolutely no quilting (or even sewing) experience necessary. For beginners, I teach a "Quilt as you go" sampler (the purple and green quilt) and for slightly more experienced quilters, the baby quilt is a class sample of another QAYG quilt technique. The other two quilts are some of the awesome projects currently being worked on by students. You are also welcome to bring your own patterns/projects to work on.

04.01.2022 Classes have resumed for term 3 (9.30am - 1pm on Mondays). These are two of the latest quilts made by ladies in my quilting classes! Both were designed by us and made for their granddaughters using the "quilt as you go" method. This Monday we are going to a couple of the larger local quilt fabric shops after class if anyone would like to join us.
