23.01.2022 Quinnit! Home Services is the Vacate Clean Specialist. Here's a few Before-And-After shots of some recent cleans. Detailing of cooktop - these clients didn't even know they had brass gas burners! Behind the fridge - yikes! ... Weatherbeaten windows and a good old oven clean. 17.01.2022 Quinnit! Home Services is still providing Vacate Cleaning in the Campaspe and Goulburn Valley region. Here are a few pics from a recent clean - the premises weren't too bad so the turnaround wasn't astonishing, but you can still get the place looking like you never lived there, and for the most competitive price. We clean everything from dishwasher filters to sliding door tracks, any detail you can think of.... - - - Coronavirus Procedure - - - When quoting, I will be required to enter the premises and walk around. It only takes about 3 minutes. I will wear gloves when handling anything like door handles or furniture, but you the client can do this for me if not comfortable. I don't wear a mask and I don't expect you to, since the prevailing advice is only the medical masks work, if you even have the virus, and these masks should be in the hands of doctors. If you want to wait outside while I walk around that would be preferred, I won't pinch anything. If you need to accompany me, I expect you to adhere to the 1.5 metre distancing rule. 12.01.2022 Before and After from a recent Roof Gutter Cleaning - you could have grown potatoes in this one! It was like this nearly all the way round, blocking flow to the water tank. Blocked gutters cause water to flow back behind the fascia, rotting the fascia boards and inside the eaves. If you look outside when its raining and you can see a steady flow of water running down to the ground from your guttering, it needs to be cleaned out.... Call Rory on 0421 323 629 to book!

12.01.2022 Quinnit! Home Services is still providing mobile, onsite support for your computer issues, as well as cleaning and swimming pool services, with precautions based on advise from the Victorian Department of Health. (DHHS). If you have computer or internet problems, I arrive wearing gloves and discard them when I leave. This way I bring no microbes to you and leave with none. I ask my clients to maintain the recommended 1.5 m distance for the benefit of both of us. I can confirm... that I haven't been overseas or know anyone that has in the last 3 months,I have no flu-like symptoms and I regularly sanitise my personal spaces and work areas. That said, if you are concerned about the spread of viruses or if you are over 60 I can arrange to meet you at the front door for computer handover, or explain to you at a comfortable distance how to proceed with the job at hand, whether it be laptop, PC, iPad or phone, or even your modem. Any equipment I take away for servicing will be sanitised before and after. As for cleaning and/or swimming pool services, the cleaning kind of takes care of itself but I still recommend the 1.5 m distance for onsite quotes. Same with swimming pools. It's time to put the pool into a low-functioning state for the off-season. Save yourself some money, time and worry.... 08.01.2022 Attention Retailers, Cafes and Trades of the GV and Campaspe Region: In my spare time I create websites and Google Business profiles for small businesses in the... Campaspe and GV area. 07.01.2022 ATTENTION POOL OWNERS! Did you know that new Victorian Pool and Spa Fence Safety Laws state that you have to register your pool with your local council by 1st June 2020? That's 2 weeks away. Fines will be issued if the registration process is begun after this date.... Don't panic though! The registration process is relatively simple to start with and can be done online. For Campaspe Shire residents, it can be done here: www.campaspe.vic.gov.au//Build/Swimming-pool-spa-barriers For Greater Shepparton residents, the process can be completed here: greatershepparton.com.au//pool/pools-and-spas-registration Once the registration form is submitted and the fee paid, the council looks up your pool construction date in its records. The council will then issue a Safety Barrier Compliance notice which, based on when the pool was built, means you have a certain amount of time to enlist a Registered Builder (Pool Safety) to check your pool barrier and sign off on it. You then submit this notice to council. The important thing is to get it registered now before the due date. Note that registration is step one, step two is the inspection, so you still have time to get your pool safety fence or barrier up to compliance. Meanwhile why not get your pool serviced? 04.01.2022 ZOOM App Not Recommended (and general online security advice): Are you using ZOOM for your business meetings or to keep in touch with groups of friends? This is not recommended due to security issues. * User accounts have been hacked and login details sold on the web... * Connections are not encrypted * Hackers can enter meetings and post offensive or disruptive material * Hackers can access webcams of meeting participants What you can do: 1. ENSURE YOUR PASSWORD IS DIFFERENT TO OTHER PASSWORDS FOR OTHER ACCOUNTS - this is the most important step you can take. If hackers break into app databases, they get your username (often your email address) and your password. Then they can try to log in to your email account using the same details. If you have used the same password then the hacker now has access to your emails and can try and change passwords to any other online service you subscribe to. - Hackers can also assume your identity to create fake accounts elsewhere and purchase goods and services in your name. - the weak link here is your password, not the brilliant methods of the hacker. This is why many services require you to create a particularly complicated password when signing up. - stolen log-in details are sold on the web and dozens or hundreds of people can be using your details or assuming your identity. 2. USE A DIFFERENT APP like Skype, Google Duo or Facetime for personal communication or use Skype, GoToMeeting App, Google Hangouts or WebEx for business meetings. 3. USE A DIFFERENT PASSWORD REGARDLESS OF THE APP OR SERVICE YOU ARE USING - if you decide to use Skype or Google or even eBay or Gumtree or other seemingly benign everyday services, the same security measures should be taken as in Step 1. 02.01.2022 GUTTER CLEANING from $100.00 This was a portable unit on a property the owners had just purchased. The roof was mostly flat and when it rained, the water just sat on the roof. ... One side of the roof had rusted-out guttering from wet soil sitting in there for so long. It took 1.5 hours to clean out just this outbuilding on both sides. Chances are your gutters aren't quite this bad, but most build-up gathers near the downpipes, so it doesn't matter if the rest of the guttering is clear, the water can't get away and can back up into the roof.
