23.01.2022 The Australia Day long weekend is known for many rituals, a bbq with family, a few drinks with friends, Australian of the year awards or the famous Quirindi District Cricket Association’s annual Super 8’s Cricket Carnival and this years instalment did not fail to deliver. Six sides battled it out in challenging conditions after record rainfall on both Friday and Saturday night, coupled with some of that familiar summer heat caused the player comfort level to rise into the ex...Continue reading
23.01.2022 Big thanks to our sponsors and supporters. We appreciate your support more then you know
23.01.2022 Thanks to Peekaboo Family Day Care for their stumps sponsorship this year, helping enable us to procure those awesome zinger stumps that we’ve been using Friday night. Really sets the atmosphere for day night cricket
22.01.2022 Looks like we should get a game tonight. They’re rolling the pitches at the moment so as long as the rain holds off, we should get on
22.01.2022 Who grew up watching this legend?? Test average of 46.55 yet was best known for his ODI cricket.... rip Dean Jones... literally the man who made cricket exciting (for me)
20.01.2022 Welll, another season is upon us here at Quirindi Cricket Association. With a new season comes new changes and this year there’ll be some massive changes to help promote our local competition and grow as an association. We’re looking toward big things, bringing in new teams from around the area and a new competition form, different from any we have seen. This year we will again be entering a team in the Connelly cup reps competition, drawing on players from around the region... and from our own local competition. The local competition will no longer be on Saturday’s, but will move to a twilight t20 competition on Friday afternoons. First games of the season will be 5:30pm on Friday the 23rd of October. At this stage we have 4 teams ready to rip in for the new comp, with interest from others still coming in. All Friday night games will be played using white balls, for better vision, and games on number 1 oval will have the use of our newly procured ZING stumps and bails. This new form of competition will help bring life into our great competition, whilst making the most of some of the best facilities anywhere in the region. Registrations are open via the playcricket.com.au website, or go to quirindicricket.com, as per last season. You will just need your Mycricket ID or if you don’t have one you will need to sign up for one. Costs per player for the season will be $150. There is still an issue with registration using mobile phones, so please register using a tablet or computer. If anyone has any problems with their registration, please let us know and we will help you get it done. Please note that all players this season are required to register using a Mycricket ID, NO EXCEPTIONS. Don’t forget to tell your cricket mad mates, or even not so cricket mad mates to come down and have a run, the more the merrier afterall. Even if you’ve never played in Quirindi or don’t know anyone playing, just sign up and we’ll get you into a team, you don’t need to be a great cricketer, you just need to want to play. So with all that said, we here at Quirindi cricket are all super excited to get the new comp underway and to see all of you out there on the pitch. Any enquires, feel free to contact the fb page and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Big thanks to our sponsors, Crawford’s Freightliners, Imperial hotel Quirindi, Bayliss Trading, RGC AUST, Gowings Toyota and B2 signs. Also a big thanks Tamarang Engineering and North West Blinds and Awnings for allowing us to put up our signs in great vantage points to get the most amount of coverage. The support of our sponsors and local businesses is greatly appreciated through these tough times, so go out and support the businesses who support our club. Quirindi Cricket Association is a COVID safe organisation and all efforts will be taken to ensure the safety of our players and our great community.

12.01.2022 Another Great Night For Quirindi Cricket!! In the 3rd round of Quirindi District’s twilight comp, after the 2nd round was washed out, the young guns of the Imperial Hotel took on the stalwarts of Quirindi cricket, Werris Creek Cricket Club, on number 1 oval. The young Impy side won the toss and elected to bat. Bradley Forsyth and Hamish Craig opened the batting, with Hamish falling early for just 3 runs of the bowling of Tom Parsons. That brought Eric Peatling to the crease. ...Continue reading

11.01.2022 Hi all, I write to provide some information to all regarding the upcoming Baggy Blues trip to Tamworth that you may or may not be aware of. The Baggy Blues, who... are former NSW cricket players will be here in Tamworth on Wednesday and Thursday for a range of activities. Tonight at West Leagues Chillingworth Room there is a meet and greet starting at 6.30pm. If you cant make the game tomorrow or breakfast this will be a place to mingle with the current and former NSW players making the trip to Tamworth. Thursday morning there is a breakfast at West Leagues also in the Chillingworth room starting at 7.30am. This will involve the players of the match being presented with Shirts and Cap and also a talk from RAMHP ( Rural Adversity Mental Health Program). The breakfast will be no longer than an hour and if you would like to come RSVP to me by 8pm tonight. I am also writing to invite all junior players to a coaching clinic that will be held at No. 1 Oval from 4:30 - 6:00 pm this Thursday 6th February 2020. Whilst all representative players are receiving this special invite, the clinic is open to all players from 6-16 years of age so if you have other children interested, or the kids want to bring some friends along, they are all very welcome! At this clinic, there will be approximately 15 coaches and the Baggy Blues will be giving away two whole kits to participants at the coaching clinic. It should be a fantastic clinic and would strongly recommend that all attend if available. At the conclusion of the clinic will be a T20 match at the ground where two invitational teams featuring Tamworth's best and up and comers with some of the touring Baggy Blues with play against one another in a Hazlewood XI Vs. Gleeson X1. Regards Ben Middlebrook TDCA President 0429779621
