22.01.2022 I have been working as a psychotherapist for a number of years and as you can imaging have seen many people. A lot of these I have helped to quit smoking. I have been keeping my stats since I started this and I am still amazed at the effectiveness of this process. Currently, after the first session about 88% quit smoking. Generally I have found those who have had a slip up and found themselves smoking again and need to come back for a follow up session with me is about 10%. ...This equates to a success rate of 98% after two sessions. I do enjoy what I do, and the results that all the clients have achieved. One of my driving forces is that I am doing this for my father who passed away some years now from emphysema. There are a lot of people who have tried to quit and failed. I would like to say to you, there is a way, you have not failed, it is just that you have not found that right way for you. 22.01.2022 Today is a beautiful spring day here in Brisbane Australia. The birds are chirping and the temperature is great. I have just come back from the gym and had my breakfast. Each day I am grateful for another beautiful day. For the endless possibilities of things that may enlighten me, the things that I may learn, even when I stumble or trip, I learn to lift my feet, to focus on those things around me, to be in the now. The past is gone and done with I can't change that, the future is not here yet and is but a dream. The present is now, I can be in the present and make it count. Live your life to the full and make it count.

Say I love you, and mean it. Say I care about you, and show them. When you say 'I will do that' then do it. If you need any help, then get the help you need. 19.01.2022 Oh my goodness, it's going to be even more painful to be a smoker in Australia. I'm sure you are aware that laws are changing again to distance people from smokers. The new rules will have you standing even farther way from doorways, and public spaces. That change, combined with a conscious effort to make cigarettes more and more expensive is forcing many to have a re-think about smoking. You might want to think about just how much smoking is costing you. Apart from the fin...ancial loss at every pack you burn up, the effect on your health is also taking its toll. And then there is the effect that your smoking is having on those around you. Is it time for you to QUIT? Is it time to take action and do something that is proven effective? I understand now how much is involved in setting up implementing and changing these things. Sure, I am doing a lot in one hit now and I can see the advantage of doing this all in small steps. 17.01.2022 Well today I saw a client who is suffering from cancer. I taught her a technique to off load stress. She has be accumulating this stress all her life. I mentioned that now was a good time to let it go as it does not support her any more. Then I worked with her a little to reduce the constant pain she was feeling. She had been taking painkillers to reduce the pain. During the session the pain was at a 4 out of 10 after the session the pain had reduced to a one. I look forward to seeing her for future sessions and helping with all that this entails. I find that this work is so rewarding. To be able to help people to overcome these hurdles that previously seemed so big.

14.01.2022 As a Clinical Hypnotherapist I see people for many more conditions other than to Quit Smoking. A couple of weeks ago I was discussing with a client about how he wanted to reduce his drinking habit as it was causing friction and stress at home. He was drinking many beers each afternoon after work. I then introduced him into a trance state and did some therapy with him in alignment with his wishes and values. I got an email from him the other day where he said "... Has certainly helped with the drinking.. I have only had 7 beers over the last 2 weekends and none during the week You sir are a champion.." This is about an 85% reduction in consumption. Now this is the sort of thing I love to hear about. When my clients win I feel good too. Have a great day.

Coming a close second and third are when stressed or with a beer, wine or spirit. After that come first thing in the morning, Driving, at Parties and when frustrated. Smokers I see generally have worries that keep them up at night or at least bother them a lot and smoking is how they deal with their stress. Often stress manifest in one or more compulsive behaviors. I teach each of my clients how to let go of the causes of the stress for themselves. ... 04.01.2022 Hi Bernard thanks for your like here. You know it is all a state of mind. If the conscious mind and the unconscious mind want a change then the change will happen. When this is not the case then the change that is sought will not come about. Hypnosis is where the two minds become as one, then it just a matter of having the appropriate suggestions to make that change. I add a few more things to the mix like a cake to enhance the outcome.
