24.01.2022 When we think of friends and family in the USA we hope they're safe and well. Paul and Dani from Australian Outback plants visited in 2018, recorded this great video and I think will be happy when they can return at all that his happening garden-wise in Quorn with better rains this year. Quorn's recently been included in the SA Arid Lands Landscape Board region and between all our enthusiastic Quorn volunteer gardeners, The Flinders Ranges Council and the Quorn Community Land...care Group and members of the Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden, guests who come to stay, we're delighted to see Quorn's gardens maintained and developing, particularly the Quorn Bush Tucker Walk ... helped along with the SA Government Open Spaces Program! Presently I think we can only post piccies of a large space, walking path and large rocks! Thanks again to Paul & Dani at Australian Outback Plants who take care of the food supply for Koalas in the USA! :)

22.01.2022 2020 Spring in Brisbane I have noticed my first Blue Banded Bee foraging from one of my Salvia plants in my new garden. Look at the beautiful colours of this be...e! I have young tomato plants growing as well which will benefit from these Australian native buzz pollinators! For more information please go to Aussie Bee website: https://www.aussiebee.com.au/blue-banded-bee-information.ht Plus a great podcast presented by Dr Megan Halcroft is well worth listening too as you will start to learn about native solitary and social bees https://www.pipmagazine.com.au//pip-permaculture-podcast-/

20.01.2022 Thanks for the latest lovely Wikicamps reviews! :)

19.01.2022 We caught up with the community yesterday when we were helping spread gravel at Powell Gardens (well, that was our intention but we arrived a little late). Thanks to Boral and Crombies Bulk Haulage for their very generous donations to Powell Gardens! We caught up with Dave about the goings on at the Quorn Lions Park just down the road. (Everything in Quorn is 'just down the road' or 'across the railway tracks, a short stroll'.) The fellas are really excited and it's going to be a fabulous exhibit ... we're asked about this space often by visitors, we have an interesting history of farming in this boom and bust space. There's lots happening in our little community, so we'll keep you posted!
