25.01.2022 Congratulations to our volunteer of the year for 2020. It is always difficult to choose just one person to become our volunteer of the year as there are always so many people that have done so much. This year Chris Newton was selected - she has worked on so many of our projects, created a new project and takes special care of members in their time of need. Congratulations Chris Newton. #weloveourmembers #weloveourvolunteers

25.01.2022 The residents really appreciated our visit- we didn't like the masks though

23.01.2022 Going through some of the old documents today as we are in the process of archiving lots of our records. This is the 30th District Conference in May 2008 at Redcliffe. Spot anyone you know?

22.01.2022 And the Quota Cares Cupboard at Beenleigh State High School is full again - what a wonderful community we have that cares so much about others. A quick call out was all it took! If you would like to be part of that "feel good" feeling that comes from providing help where it is needed, please contact Team Quota Beenleigh.

22.01.2022 3 of our JQ's in the leadership team- all the very best and congratulations

20.01.2022 Fabulous catch up for morning tea today - amazing how much we all have to talk about!! Lovely to meet Leanne for the first time. Thanks Devon Pixies for the fabulous scones, jam and cream served in such a beautiful setting. We will be back.

19.01.2022 Thank you to all of our members and everyone in our community who contribute so much to benefit the lives of others.

09.01.2022 3 of our JQ's in Leadership team = go guys all the very best

09.01.2022 Unfortunately Bert Van Manen, Federal Member for Forde, was unable to attend our celebration last Friday night. Thanks Bert for the lovely certificate you presented to us.

07.01.2022 Awesome training and planning session!

06.01.2022 2020 has been a year of change, and our Quota Gift of Giving is changing this year too! It’s getting a facelift... We have decided to partner with those working with children in care, and help provide some Christmas joy. At the Logan Central office, the team support more than 300 children in foster care, as well as also supporting 50 families. We plan to give these children and families a Christmas to remember! Would you like to join us?... Quota Beenleigh is providing different types of support - financial support (by purchasing gift cards for some of the older children) and community support (by calling out to our community to help with gifts for the children under 12s, and to provide hamper items for the families) Each week in the lead up to Christmas, we will collect items for various age groups - we want to make the children feel really special, so please donate NEW items only. This week we are kicking off with gifts for the toddlers (babies up to age 2). Individual items can be left at Murphy's Pharmacy (69 York St Beenleigh). If the staff at your business would also like to become involved, we are happy to collect items from you - email us ([email protected]) or message us on Facebook to request a pick-up. Thank you in advance! We are looking forward to continuing to share the Gift of Giving, as we have every Christmas for the last 15 years. We appreciate your willingness to help change the lives of these children!

03.01.2022 What fun games these were, and the guest speaker left us speechless... Here are some pics from the afternoon session - our Girls Day In - raising over $1,000 for the Cancer Council. Feel free to ask what these games were, or how they worked... 1. Rubber band darts into your bra 2. What’s in the bag?... 3. Celebrity Heads x 2 4. Have you ever...? 5. Pfizer robot arm balloons 6. Piece a string story telling... 7. Poker face - Ha Ha! In addition to the above games, we had a skin care/make-up demonstration (thanks to Kaylene and Christine from KMP in York St, Beenleigh), the most delectable afternoon tea (thanks to Judy L and members who are the best cooks), a fashion parade through the decades (thanks to Courtni, Shay-dee, and Abby!), we officially welcomed our newest member Wendy Kleeman (from Innisfail - it was lovely for members to meet her in person), the friendship bowl was presented, there was a magic word that you couldn’t say all afternoon, otherwise you lost your beaded necklace (thanks Jenny for making all of these!), there were raffle prizes galore, and a special guest to present the Breast Cancer Awareness session - thanks to Dr. Dolly Parton for joining us, and encouraging all to have their mammograms! I now hear you ask...how on earth did you get Dolly Parton there? Well, Karen used her family connections! Her great grandfather was a Parton...and Karen was so excited to meet her at last that she didn’t even get a photo!!! See more

03.01.2022 We treasure these thank you letters...

02.01.2022 Adding some photos to the previous posts regarding our wonderful day yesterday. Thank you to all our members who came along to the Training/Planning Day - you all became so involved in the discussions and there was certainly plenty of fun and "We Share" going on with answering the questions. The discussions from this day will help drive our planning for 2021. And the Girls Day In was just a hoot from start to finish - I am sure our guests did not go away bored! So many fun games which everyone participated in, the wonderful fashion parade of the decades by our young JQ's and volunteer, important information from Dr Dolly, yummy afternoon tea and so much more. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the planning and execution of these two very successful events.

01.01.2022 And some more photos from our wonderful celebration last Friday evening. Wonderful memories with new and old members and all our special guests.

01.01.2022 How wonderful to see the team from Junior Quota Windaroo giving up their first day of school holidays volunteering at the Lighthouse Care in Loganholme. They packed trolleys, organised stock and made sure the supermarket inside was tidy and organised for the customers. Not only did they help others, but they also learned some valuable skills. Well done JQs and thanks to Judi van Manen - LNP for Macalister for supporting these wonderful young people.
