06.01.2022 Louise Terra, QUT Drama graduate, discussing the role of her degree in her music practice studying theatre has paid off in my life in so many ways! My theatre skills made it possible to get up in front of people and front my first band at age 20, when I was actually extremely insecure. Though, performing as a musician and acting in theatre are entirely different practices. Live music performance is all about authenticity and theatrics are an add on, not a given, so it has... still taken me years to figure out what that balance looks and feels like for me. Having a background in theatre has also given me so much valuable experience producing work collaboratively. Having this added dimension to my practice allows me to think more broadly as an artist about the kinds of artistic outcomes I want to produce. http://broaderlines.com/louise-terra-talks-follow-the-moo/
