24.01.2022 In 2014 QUT School of Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations Alumna Kate Williams launched Nodo Donuts to disrupt the doughnut (and spread baked happiness through beautiful food combining old form and augmented function). For all her success, was it the personal experience of detrimental effects of gluten, the power of a QUT marketing degree or Kate’s ability to grow a business into an institution amongst a community of people with the same liking for a great variation o...n the traditional doughnut - gluten free, baked, not fried? We love that Kate started at the local markets and has grown the business to 4 stores around Brisbane (Newstead, Southbank, CBD and Camp Hill) which look awesome, with a product range that is as visually appealing as it is tasty. Our lunch and learn tomorrow (how appropriate is that?) will be about doughnuts, marketing, opening new stores and all the challenges of creating customer delight. If you’re free to put the Q into the Q&A please join us to talk to Kate Thursday from 12-1pm QUT Alumni & Friends Official QUTopia
