22.01.2022 CASUAL VACANCY Health Faculty Councillor A casual vacancy has been triggered for the position of Health Faculty Councillor with the QUT Guild (C.19). To apply for this position, the following information must be sent in an email to [email protected] with the subject title Casual Vacancy Health Faculty Councillor': - Full Name - Number - Student Email Address ... - Proof of Enrolment (from QUT Virtual)* - Why you are interested in the role and how you believe you can fulfil the responsibilities of being the QUT Guild Health Faculty Councillor (maximum 500 words). *Applicants must be enrolled in a course within the Health Faculty. Interested persons should submit an application before COB (5:00pm) on Friday the 19th of June, 2020. (R43.1) Councillors shall be responsible to Guild Council for: a. circulating information from the Guild to students enrolled in their faculty as required; b. representing the views of students enrolled in their faculty to Guild Council; c. liaising with relevant members of the Executive Committee regarding issues of students enrolled in their faculty; d. promoting the Guild amongst students enrolled in their faculty; e. monitoring issues of students enrolled in their faculty both within the Guild and the University and advising the Executive Committee and Guild Council on developments and needs in this area; f. acting in accordance with the Constitution and Regulations; and g. carrying out such other duties as from time to time may be prescribed by Guild Council.

20.01.2022 - - A casual vacancy has been triggered for the position of Vice-President of Campus Culture with the QUT Guild (C.19). The QUT Guild would first like to congratulate our previous Campus Culture representative for securing an exciting job opportunity elsewhere and wish them success going forward. The position of Campus Culture is a shared role and the successful applicant will work alongside the current QUT Guild Campus Culture... representative and is expected to be able to commit approximately 18 hours of time each week. Working closely with all QUT Guild affiliated clubs; ii. Managing club funding rounds, club disaffiliations and affiliations; iii. Organising and facilitating Guild events in collaboration with staff and other portfolios; iv. Working on writing club regulations and policy in order to provide better help and resources to clubs; v. Managing the QUT Guild Clubs Portal and QUT Guild Clubs Hub. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In addition, per the QUT Guild Regulations (R34), the responsibilities of the Vice-President Campus Culture officer include: i. the formulation of all policies relevant to the portfolio; ii. the planning and setting of goals and strategies for the portfolio; iii. encouraging the active involvement of students in affiliated bodies; iv. assisting in and encouraging affiliation of bodies to enable students to access facilities, funding, grants and subsidies etc; (v) v. promoting affiliated bodies across all campuses of the University; (vi) vi. ensuring affiliated bodies are aware of, and follow, the Constitution, Regulations and the Guild's policies; vii. developing, compiling and maintaining clubs and societies publications and resources; viii. creating and advertising cultural events to increase campus life at the University; ix. acting in accordance with the Constitution and the Regulations; and x. reporting on the affairs of the portfolio to Guild Council and the Executive Committee.

06.01.2022 Elections Update As required by the Electoral Tribunal the official count for the Faculty Councillor positions has been conducted as per the old election regula...tion R86 including quotas and transfer of surplus votes, prior to the elimination of candidates. The results are as follows. The number represents the round of counting that the candidate reached quota and was elected.
