01.01.2022 Introducing our speakers Our first speaker for our Humanitarian Night Event is Tim! Tim has a broad experience leading, working and volunteering with youth development programs, and is now engaged professionally in the international development sector. He is the Chair of the Queensland Youth Advisory Committee within the Australian Red Cross (ARC), advocating for youth issues and advising on youth engagement to the governance structure of one of Australia’s largest humani...tarian organisations. In his work with UQ International Development, he coordinates training programs and advisory services led by UQ academics that aim to address development challenges across Africa, Asia and the Pacific. Previously, he has been an Assistant Facilitator with the National Student Leadership Forum, the Co-Chair of the UQ Young Scholars Program, a Team Leader with Edmund Rice Camps Brisbane, and assisted asylum seekers arriving on Lesvos, Greece with Lighthouse Relief as a first responder. Tim graduated from UQ in 2017 with a BMus(Hons)/BA and a DipLang, majoring in Cello Performance, International Relations, French and Spanish. See more
