22.01.2022 COVID-19 Spectators Announcement Bankstown Basketball Association acknowledges that from Monday 7th December 2020 a further easing of restrictions for indoor sp...orts facilities was announced by the NSW Government in terms of reducing the 4 square metre rule to 2 square metres which in effect allows the stadium to double it's capacity. However, due to the stadium's lack of seating, management believes it is currently too difficult to successfully adhere to the 1.5m rule of social distancing for spectators. Therefore for the remainder of 2020 our COVID safety procedures around spectator entry is as follows: - Senior Competitions - Each team is allowed 3 spectators (including the coach) per team during game time. There is an expectation that once the game is complete that all players and spectators leave the stadium within a 5 minute period. This allows staff to sanitise the stadium for the next group of teams playing. - Junior Competitions - Will continue the 1 parent per child entry and no inclusion of siblings. Players/coach only will be allowed into the stadium directly after the previous game for warm up while the stadium is being sanitised, then parent/ guardian can follow. - Casual Shooting on weekends will be increased from 20 per court up to 30 per court as of the 12th December til the stadium closes for Christmas on the 21st December. At the moment court bookings are dominating the court space which limits the access to casual shooters. Stadium Management will reassess our position in January 2021 to see if there has been further easing of restrictions and a formal announcement will be made with any modifications to our spectator access within the stadium. We appreciate the support and understanding you have shown the staff over the last 6 months while we navigated through this pandemic, which has enabled us to confidently provide you with a COVID safe environment. Regards Christian Gobolos General Manager

14.01.2022 To all Members/Parents/Guardians & Community Members, Upon reviewing the Office of Sport new COVID regulations it provides the stadium a little more flexibility... in terms of spectators. However, I must stress that the 1.5m social distance rule must be adhered to as much as possible. Therefore, we ask not to congregate in a crowd and ensure spectators spread out through the stadium as much as possible. We appreciate the difficulty of the one spectator rule for families that have children with non-playing siblings and are forced to make other arrangements due to them not being allowed in. For this reason, we are relaxing this rule as an initial reprieve for those parents. To avoid overcrowding we will still have to enforce the one (1) parent/guardian rule per player for juniors. However, in addition to the one (1) parent/guardian rule, non-playing siblings will also be able to access the venue. Also, the Association will now allow junior teams to enter the stadium before their game commences. We ask that players respect social distancing protocols while waiting for their game to commence. Previously, the senior competitions had the restriction of only allowing three (3) spectators per team. The Association has now relaxed that to one (1) spectator per player. Upon review with management the following rules will be imposed on spectators in the stadium: Junior Domestic Competition One (1) parent/guardian per child Junior Domestic Competition Non-playing siblings will be able to access the venue with their parent/guardian Junior Domestic Competition One (1) Coach is allowed per team and NOT considered a spectator. Junior & Senior Representative Games Two (2) spectators per player. Junior Rep Teams One (1) Coach, One (1) Assistant Coach & One (1) Team Manager are NOT considered a spectator. Senior Domestic Competition One (1) spectator per player There is still going to be an allocated Bio Safety Officer on competition days/nights who will be monitoring and checking everyone’s QR Codes for any visitors or spectators as they enter the stadium. The exit procedure through the end of court 1 (Lair end) is still in operation. Take care and stay safe, Christian Gobolos General Manager

11.01.2022 Court 7 Scoreboard Update - On Monday, Wednesday and Friday night competitions if you play on court 7 you will notice the scoreboard is currently out of operat...ion. Upon a maintenance check the scoreboard is beyond repair. We have ordered a new scoreboard based in Victoria but due to state lockdown restrictions are unable to commence production for another 2 weeks. The production of the scoreboard will take a further 6 weeks. We are expecting installation towards the end of October or start of November. In the meantime we have purchased a portable scoreboard that will be positioned on the scorers bench that provides all the information the wall based scoreboard would normally do. We do apologise for the inconvenience and the slight delay on this but felt we owed you the players an explanation and timeline when the wall scoreboard should be back in operation. Thank you for your understanding.... Regards, Christian Gobolos General Manager
