23.01.2022 At RAA Insurance, were urging vehicle owners to be more vigilant with their home and vehicle security, after obtaining State Government figures showing a record number of SUVs and motorcycles being stolen in South Australia in 2019-2020 -- an increase of 17.5% over the past five years. Vehicle owners should secure their home to protect their vehicles, as thieves have been increasingly entering homes illegally to take keys due to improved vehicle immobiliser technology. Our best advice is to park off the street and, if possible, park behind a roller door. Place your keys away from obvious places such as a bowl by the front door.

18.01.2022 Our AGM will be delayed. RAA’s Annual General Meeting was scheduled to be held on Monday 23 November in person. Following the State Government’s lockdown announcement on Wednesday 18 November, RAA immediately began preparations to delay the AGM to a later date and establish the technology needed to conduct the meeting using an online forum, rather than in person. Despite the further announcements late last week, given the current level of uncertainty around COVID-19 case dev...elopments in South Australia, to ensure our members have the best opportunity to safely attend the AGM, the RAA President with the support of the Board has determined to proceed with the decision to delay the AGM and set a new date utilising an online format. Once the rescheduled date for the online AGM has been finalised, we’ll communicate the details via our email communications, website, social media channels and via a notice in The Advertiser.

13.01.2022 It’s good to know our road safety message is resonating with South Aussie school kids. After our Street Smart Primary educator, Christina visited Glen Osmond Primary School recently, Year 4 student Jack sent us his new Road Safety Rap song I said stop! Don't keep walking mate,... not even if you're running late. Look! Is there anything on the street? If there is you'd better plant your feet. Listen! Is there anything coming your way? You know what I am going to say? Think! Use your brain like a boss and pick a safe time to walk across. To cross the road my advice you better take! Or you'll end up like a pancake! Well done Jack, we couldn't have said it better ourselves! Music execs, please form a line. Road Safety Rap is part of an activity book for students taking part in the RAA Street Smart Primary program. For more info please visit www.raa.com.au/streetsmartprimary or call our friendly Street Smart team on 08 8202 8214 to book a free lesson for your school.
