24.01.2022 This is great news for those that have relatives who served in WWII.

22.01.2022 Very sad to say that one of our RAAF Station Maryborough Veterans, Leslee Tannock passed away peacefully on Anzac Day. "This Story" had the privilege of speaking to Leslee and capturing her story just a few weeks before her passing, part of which is shared here.

19.01.2022 Another former RAAF Maryborough P1 Building identified and photographed. Thanks to Ken Ashford for allowing us access to the Aldershot Scout Camp to check out this building which had been cut in half many years ago. The other half is at the Hervey Bay Heritage Museum.

14.01.2022 Sharing this post from ADF Serials regarding a Wirraway which Forced Landed at Maryborough during August 1942. Anybody have any more details?

13.01.2022 Help still needed! Please share. Help needed please! We have been contacted by a military researcher in the U.K. who is trying to locate relatives of the crew o...f Jimmy Glazebrook on behalf of Air Commodore (Retired) Charles Clark OBE who was the bomb aimer on Jimmy's crew. The researchers are already in touch with Jimmy's great nephew who is descended from Ena Elizabeth Glazebrook. The Glazebrook family lived at 266 John Street at the time of James George Leslie Glazebrook's enlistment. Charles is 95 now, and as a memorial has been placed at the site of where their aircraft came down, relatives are being sought so this information can be passed on. Charles was a prisoner in Stalag Luft 3 during the great escape. If you can help please private message us and we will forward the information. See more

12.01.2022 A couple of former RAAF Station Maryborough Buildings have been identified. The first one is now the Burrum & District Museum at Howard and the second is the Uniting Church hall at Tiaro. The Uniting Church Hall building is interesting as it is L shaped which means it could have been part of one of the messes at the Base. If anybody has anymore information on these buildings or any others please send us a message.
