25.01.2022 Double Trouble Well today I had the honour of marrying two couples (thats right folks, 4 ppl in total) at one wedding. It was double the fun, double the love, double the trouble nah no trouble just two cheeky grooms! ... The newlyweds Eleanor & Francis and Alice & John are dear friends and thought hey, let's do this together at once, same friends, same day, it all makes sense! It really was special.. 23.01.2022 Sleepy Sundays I think if I had to choose a favourite day, it would without a doubt be Sunday. This is Sunday in our house... Dads left to check the surf.. Mums trying to stay in bed as long as possible. So we read books, play games, watch videos of the kiddies when they were babies (My fav). I sneak out for hot cuppas and come back to the warmth.. ... I suggest that all enquiring couples meet with me first (Skype or in person) obligation free... On top of that I highly recommended they meet some other celebrants too. So they can choose the best fit for them... we all have something different to offer. That way if they do decide to go ahead with me, we all know that we get along just fine and dandy and that it's going to be a pleasurable journey. The end result; relationships like here with Zara and Josh, where it was cruisy/fun meetings, they trusted me in my role and we all made a great team! 18.01.2022 Money Talk Let's talk about my fee and how it comes about... (My fees are no secret, they can be found on my website, link in bio)... I like to know what I am paying for when I part with my hard earned money. So I wanted to share with you what is really involved in being a celebrant... As a celebrant we have compulsory annual fees and 5 hours of ongoing training we must complete every year! We have to maintain/upkeep office equipment, PA systems, kindles, vehicles & more. On average I spend 10 to 12 hours working on each of my couples weddings from 3 to 4 meetings, rehearsals, 2 hours on the Big day, writing the script, completing paperwork (lots of it) and lodging it with births, deaths and marriages, emails and phone calls. I pay to advertise and market myself so you can find me. I pay for vow cards, certificates and wedding envelopes. I have to keep my work wardrobe on trend and to a proffessional standard, beauty items etc etc.. And so much more... So there you have it, my fee is a well thought out sum that covers my expenses, time and allows me to do my job really really well. Fees can vary hugely, so next time you are shopping around for a service , hopefully this helps to see the bigger picture.... What matters to you when choosing a service? We only got to meet over Facebook messenger at first as lockdown had just started but we still felt instantly comfortable chatting away... all the way from Perth ... the whole process was easy and smooth and Rachael kept in touch and offered support whenever needed. 06.01.2022 Planning a summer wedding in Denmark?? Denmarks weather is soooo unpredictable as I am sure you are aware... Currently it is spring weather in the middle of winter?! Global warming perhaps?... My advice to you....Have a solid plan B for inclement weather. The day you do not have a plan B is the day you need it. Lucky enough to have the sun shining... Have you got shade, water, insect repellent? Make the ceremony time later in the day to avoid your guests getting too hot! Worried about the time frame for getting pictures taken after a late ceremony? Have the pictures taken before your ceremony! Its a beautiful way to see each for the first time on your own and intimately. Leaving you to enjoy your celebrations straight away with your guests and have a cold one! It was destined to be fab because I was awake before the kids... That never happens! 03.01.2022 Couldn't Of Asked For A Better Celebrant! From the moment I contacted Rachael to enquire about her availability, she was nothing but amazing. We had only just gotten engaged, and were trying to plan a wedding in less than 5 months due to my grandads failing health. She responded to my enquiry almost immediately, and gave us a list of dates and seemed so genuinely excited and interested in everything to do with our wedding! During our first phone call she made us feel so at ea...se, it hadn't even sunk in that we were really engaged yet, and planning a wedding seemed totally over our heads, but Rach just made everything so simple. There was never any pressure to choose her, she actually made us sleep on it for at least one night after our first chat to make sure we 100% wanted to book her haha! Rachael was more than happy to organise an outdoor, dog friendly meet up for our first meeting, and didn't complain once that our greyhound Fin had to come with us, and whined and sooked about having to lay on the ground while we talked. Rachael made everything so easy, she gave us advice, listened to our wants and needs, helped us and encouraged us. I am incredibly nervous when it comes to public speaking, and she promised that if I couldn't read out the vows I had written on the day that she would read them for me (but she said that she knew I could do it) and that confidence definitely helped put me at ease on the day! Rachael provided us with information on marriage, vow writing templates to help us write our own (optional of course) and the most beautifully designed vow cards to use on the day and keep. The way she told our love story was amazing, she captured it perfectly, and without even trying to be funny she had everyone laughing along with us. We couldn't of asked for a more beautiful person to officially make us husband and wife, and we will definitely be recommending her to everyone we know! We can not thank you enough Rachael! 03.01.2022 Hi Its Me... Your friendly local Denmark celebrant... Just finished a awesome ceremony In Youngs siding for B&T. ... No pics till newlyweds post... BUT let me tell you it was a fun ceremony, lots of laughs and sentimental moments. Guests are in for a real treat w goodies being prepared by @woodfiredcateringco they were just prepping wood fired pizza, paella, asparagus tarts and so many yummy morsels as I was leaving.. downside to leaving after ceremony is missing out on the yummy food oh and my fav parts like dancing and speeches... 02.01.2022 Taking care of business One of my favorite moments in a ceremony, the signing. Often the first time the couple have a moment together to say hi and soak in what's happening together.... So special!! Did you know the only requirements for the witnesses is they must be over 18 and sober!! So why not choose your Mums, Dad's, Grandparents, Godparents, besties that are not bridal party. Gone are the days where it is strictly best man and maid of honour . It's completely up to you... Its a role you can pass on to someone special that is not already included in the bridal party or proceedings. So who signed your wedding certificates??

01.01.2022 Final wedding of the YEAR TODAY for me, a NYE wedding is so much FUN!! Woo Hoo what a way to finish up the year with a celebration of LOVE doing what I love doing best!!! What a cracker of a year 2020 has been for me as a celebrant learning the ropes, I have had a beautiful mix of ceremony styles, couples and locations and I feel so blessed to all of you for choosing me!!...
