25.01.2022 If you desire a steady flow of compliments for yourself,(and who wouldn't?) all you have to do is paint. Not houses or walls, but canvas. It doesn't matter how big it is. It doesn't matter which brushes you use, what colours you use, or which style you choose. It doesn't matter if it's as ugly as hell and hard to look at. If you place an easel in your lounge room and paint with (or without) passion; everyone who comes to your home will compliment you and your painting; regar...dless of your artistic talent and the visually pleasing quality of your art. Your work might be an eyesore but the compliments will still be sincere. This is because they aren't complimenting the canvas or the colours you use, the brushes you use, or the subject you choose. They are praising your faith in yourself. They are praising your connection to something deeper than you. They are praising your reckless disregard of judgements. They are praising your strength; the strength that gifted you the balls to paint. They are praising your happiness and the childlike aura that surrounds you while you create. They are praising your intense belief (even when unfounded) that you are an awesome artist. They are praising your ability to negotiate with your inner critic and understand it for what it is (confused). Some will wish they too had the courage to find what they are looking for. 21.01.2022 'Australia Burning 1+2" I will be running a mixed media workshop for those who are interested on the 7th day of March 2020. Keep this day available on your calendar and I will get back to you with further details closer to the date.

18.01.2022 Art classes begin on the 8th October 10-1pm. The unit of work that will be covered over 6 weeks is based on portraiture covering a range of techniques leading to a final work which will be a mixed media painting. Beginners are welcome, the methods that I teach are easy to learn. Cost per class is $35 materials are included in this price. Would love to see you there. 17.01.2022 Want to let everyone know that I will be running a full day workshop on Saturday 17th March starting at 9.30 till 4.30. We will be exploring mixed media using the theme of Art Nouveau.. You will be printing your own tissue paper to add drapery to your work. A very popular workshop so let me know if you would like to attend. These are some works from previous student work. 08.01.2022 Wonderful unit of work in mixed media over a 3 week period, everyone was so pleased with their results and rightly so. Amazing girls, look forward to the next round of classes.

07.01.2022 Hi all, just wanted to let you know that a mixed media class will begin on the 6th August from 10 till 1pm. All materials will be supplied for these classes that should run for three weeks. We will be exploring materials such as inks,water colour, mixed with pva to create specific effects. We will also explore the use of layering with wax incorporated with transfer of image. These are very exciting processes that create some wonderful effects. Please view attachment for examples.
