22.01.2022 Feeling ultra grateful that I managed to shoot my last portrait session before lockdown again and the arrival of bubs! Timing is everything! 21.01.2022 In between last lockdown managed to get away to Gippsland region. This shot is of the Noojee Trestle Bridge, not too far from Mt Baw Baw. Originally built in 1919, but was burnt down in 1939 and rebuilt the same year! 14.01.2022 This year I had plans to focus on building my portrait & event photography business, as momentum was growing! However, life had other plans for me as I fell pregnant at the start of this year! I knew this would be manageable up until a point, so I was prepared. Then Covid made its grand appearance, which really put a halt on things! I have to admit though that despite not being able to get out there physically and do what I love most. I am extremely grateful that this tim...e has allowed me to be completely present throughout this whole pregnancy. Its also allowed me to brush up on my editing skills, learn new techniques, sort out my files, attend online courses & catch up things that are constantly put off for another day! Life has a funny way of working itself out, you just have to sometimes learn to pause, take a deep breath and see what is right in front of you. Just wanted to take this opportunity before my hands are full (due any day now!) to say a big thank you to those whom have supported me over the last year or so. Although its still early days, I have had so much positive feedback and encouragement to date. I chose to create this folio in memory of my father who suffered from early on-set Dementia & passed away at just 64 years of age back in 2004. I wanted to create a series of images that would resemble what it may have been like inside his mind throughout his illness, such as distorted realities, unattainable destinations, lucid moments and sadly recollection...s lost forever. I was fortunate enough last year to be chosen to photograph Mimecasts end of year event! It was such a fun evening capturing those precious moments with all 120 staff! It turned out to be a fantastic night and such a great bunch of people! They held their event at Red Scooter Unique Events... venue in Balaclava. Great venue!
