19.01.2022 Eight years ago today was the GRAND FINAL of the first season of The Voice Australia! The end of one crazy ride leading to many more. 18.01.2022 Ending my 26th year with a bang! Yup, that fateful day was a couple of weeks ago now but finally got the chance to celebrate back in Adelaide at the infamous Lims Chinese! 15.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago, I shared some personal insight about being comfortable in your own skin but now, for International Womens Day, I want EVERYONE out there to tell the women in your life you appreciate them and how special they are to you. . Adelaide joined Melbourne and Sydney on Friday for an IWD breakfast with women/non-binary folk from all areas of the music industry giving presentations, sharing stories, advice and breathtaking performances from Kelly Menhennett, George Alice and Jess Day. It dawned on me, with almost 500 people in the room, that we are most powerful when were together. When we encourage, listen and learn from each other. Build each other up and be kind. . Thanks One of One, Music SAs Anne Wiberg and Lisa Bishop, and The Gov for hosting.

12.01.2022 A couple of years ago, I did a fundraiser for the RSB and said if I could raise enough, Id make a blood donation. Although we hit the target and then some thanks to some generous souls, I wasnt able to donate because I didnt weigh enough for my height. Well... one good thing came out of constant snacking during lockdown! I FINALLY achieved my dream of donating blood to help save lives. 10.01.2022 While I was in Melbourne, I attended and presented at the Animal-Assisted Services Conference for Animal Therapies Ltd. We know that guide dogs are legally permitted in all places accessible to the public in Australia (with the exception of zoos and the ICU), but with the therapeutic benefits of interacting with animals becoming more researched, I dream of a world where trained/certified service animals and their handlers have the same rjghts. Autism, PTSD, Diabetes, Depression, Epilepsy... the list of disorders animals help with is endless. Thats why I was proud to announce I am an ambassador for this wonderful organisation Congratulations to all the nominees & winners at the animal assistance awards night!

08.01.2022 If you are struggling today, I have a message for you. Hope isnt about getting everything you want. Its about resilience; the strength inside you that fuels your fire. The challenges you face and demolish. You have this fire inside you. We all do. You just have to light it. This is the power of self talk - tell yourself YOU CAN, that its WORTH IT and it WILL WORK. Imagine the reality you desire and make small goals to accomplish it. Whatever you do, dont give up and dont sweat the small stuff. If one way doesnt work, turn a different direction. Think of all the good things you have and give yourself and others permission to make mistakes. Were all just doing the best we know how and no one is perfect. You are amazing, beautiful, strong and loved. Never forget it

06.01.2022 Flashback to 2012 with my gorgeous friend from The Voice Australia, Viktoria Bolonina! We were 18 and 21 at the time, optimistic about the future and figuring out our direction. Fast forward to 2020 and were still mates, despite living in different states. She is a beautiful, accomplished opera singer, singing teacher and photographer. She inspires the heck out of me and Im so grateful to have her in my life
05.01.2022 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL GUIDE DOG DAY!! The Royal Society for the Blind (RSB) provide 90% of Guide Dogs in South Australia and the program is among the best in the world. Unfortunately, during these unprecedented times, their funding has been severely impacted. They have to raise $120,000 before the end of the financial year to keep the school running. I think of what might happen if they close... Before Ella, I was anxious to go anywhere independently for fear of getting lost ...or embarrassed bumping into things or people. I also felt unsafe and vulnerable, especially in unfamiliar areas. My heart burned for freedom, but my eyes wouldnt let me. Ella built up my confidence and we established a strong bond with trust and loyalty. She created a change in not only my travel but my mental state. A guiding light and loving companion, I cant imagine life without her now after 6 years. I know that even if I get lost, Ill always be safe and I can do anything with her by my side. 01.01.2022 CanDo4Kids Dinner in the Dark is the only event where I dont feel out of place. Everyone wears a blindfold while eating to simulate blindness. Its always a fun night but this is my life every night. To be honest, it can be embarrassing sometimes if I have to use my fingers or lift an empty fork to my lips. Even trying to find the camera to look at. As you can see here, it can be hard to find but lucky Ive had practise! I was so grateful this iconic event could still go ahead and I was honoured to sing a song I wrote especially for the night. Love to all who made this night possible to support kids with vision/hearing/sensory impairment. Big thanks to National Wine Centre for hosting and Vinteloper wines for supplying quality vino!!
01.01.2022 My piano has been my best friend for 13 years. After I proved to my parents on a rickety secondhand, old, out-of-tune piano that I would stick to playing, they gave me this exquisite sanctuary as a precious gift. Ive been through stages of life, struggles, triumphs and relationships. This is my diary; I wrote thousands of songs sitting at this piano, feeling like I was flying as my fingers danced on the keys. Im sad to see it go but Ive moved into a unit thats too small for it, and purchased a keyboard with all sorts of crazy functions instead. This piano leaves me on Friday to go to a new home but I thought Id play one last song to see it off. Id forgotten the pure emotion of playing on a beautiful piano compared to a keyboard. Ill miss you, old friend
