21.01.2022 Every time a woman tells me that they are planning on making babies in a year or two, the one thing I want them to know is *start preconception care early* Particularly women who have been on hormonal birth control since their teens (which is many of us!) Now we've all heard of that friend-of-a-freind who stopped taking the pill after 15 years and fell pregnant the following week (go girl!) ...but the reality is that it often takes several months, sometimes longer, to regulat...e your cycle after the pill. Especially if there were underlying conditions that prompted starting the pill in the first place (ie; irregular, heavy or painful periods) It takes patience, consistency and often requires changes in diet/lifestyle. Starting this care without the added pressure of trying to get pregnant *yesterday* takes a huge amount of the stress out of the journey! And you may find you really get to enjoy the empowering process of nurturing your body back to its natural cycles @drmirandamyles #youcantrushyourhealing #acupuncture #ttc #chinesemedicine #postpill #pilldetox #fertilityacupuncture #thepill #hormonalbirthcontrol #brisbanefertility #brisbaneacupu
20.01.2022 The wisdom of Chinese medicine tells us that the heart and the uterus are intimately connected and that the healthy functioning of one depends on the other. The heart and the uterus communicate with each other via the bao mai which literally translates to uterus vessel. The bao mai must be open and unimpeded for menstruation and conception to occur. If this link is disrupted women can experience PMS symptoms in addition to irregular menstrual cycles and subfertility. How d...oes this disruption occur? Stress and emotional upheavals can be both the cause and effect of a blockage in the bao mai. Thats why stress management practices and working on our emotional wellbeing is so important on the fertility journey. Acupuncture can also help to facilitate and nurture that womb-heart connection @acupuncturediaries #wombheartcomnection #baomai #acupuncture #ttc #chinesemedicine #nourish #fertilityacupuncture #hormonalbirthcontrol #brisbanefertility #brisbaneacupuncture #gettingbabyready #replenish #emotionalwellbeing #stressmanagement #stressandhormones #joyandhormones
20.01.2022 We love Moxa! Made from the herb mugwort, moxa is burnt to impart warmth into the body at certain acupoints or over the abdomen. It encourages blood flow and circulation to the area. And feels lovely and nourishing . .... @daolabs . . #moxa #moxibustion #brisbaneacupuncture #tcm See more
