25.01.2022 Trying to take a photo of this stunning bearded iris that I had to rescue from the plant, as all the blooms are so heavy the whole plant was falling over.... but no, these two ratbags interceded the process making it perfectly clear that they are equally as captivating as the flowers... which they are, of course. 25.01.2022 It’s always nice to paint a rosy picture on social media but the reality is - life ain’t always rosy. This last week has seen life interrupted by migraines and hayfever every time I think I’m coming out of the woods the headache starts again. I’m supposed to be studying and I can’t focus on the words! 24.01.2022 Well plans have been thwarted by Covid so we are now staying put in Mudgee just in case ... which does have its perks! Today we embarked on our first ‘holiday at home’ outing and went for a walk in the truly lush and beautiful Ferntree Gully near Rylstone. Made the mistake of saying ‘I’m not going to take many photos on this walk, I’m not really in the mood, think I’ll just enjoy it without the camera’.... weeeelllll, I think we all knew that wasn’t going to happen (including... me if I’m honest). I mean, how can I NOT take photos? Gosh, now I really am armed with a lot of inspiration! 17.01.2022 I remember when I used to work in a public library and all the shelving was blue and yellow - we all used to think it was so 80s and dated and loved when all the new timber look shelving came in... now I love blue and yellow together!... 13.01.2022 Perfect day for a spontaneous trip to ‘The Drip’. Took lots of photos for painting inspiration on the way in but just meandered on the way back taking in all the sights, sounds and smells - it’s so tranquil with the sound of the water and birds. 10.01.2022 Visited Lowe Wines this afternoon with my parents and daughter - sometimes it’s nice to be a tourist in your own town! 09.01.2022 ‘The Ocean Path’ ... aaaah... don’t you just want to wander down the path to that divine looking water - so inviting! Inspired, of course, by our stunning NSW coastline this commissioned painting has now been safely delivered to its new owners in Port Macquarie. Luckily it was delivered before my boys went mountain biking in the rain and returned with a carload of mud - eek! 08.01.2022 Hello peoples! Exciting news - archival prints of these two still life paintings are in the making with the first print run happening tomorrow - woohoo!!! They are both available in 3 paper sizes - A4 $60, A3 $90 and A2 $160. They will have a small white border to enable framing. These prints are a beautiful quality and an accurate reproduction of the original paintings - printed on 310gsm cotton rag in archival inks. I will put them on the website next week but just posting now in case you want to be first cab off the rank!
