23.01.2022 49kg days... Its taken a lot of work to grow into being a legit 50/51kg fighter, and I still dont cut much weight to get there. Always strong though, S & C is imperative!

23.01.2022 Here’s the true story. We weighed in Friday night, 400g under, didn’t even sauna. The show was cancelled 2 hours before it was to start due to the storms. There was talk about having the title fights undercover the next weekend and we would have to weigh in again. ... I have my own show to promote that is being held next weekend and had put a lot of things off until after I’d fought so have loads to do this week and next. I proposed that we weigh in at the higher weight of 52.3kg the following week instead of having to cut weight again, train, and me try and organise my own show. We already made weight so can’t see why that would be an issue. It’s not like you can put on any type of size that would be advantageous you within a week other than the standard rehydration weight you would normally put on in 24 hours anyway. My opponent declined to do this and wanted us to weigh in again at 50.8. With my own promotion commitments I could not do that as well as train. If Ignite the Fight was not on 7 November it would not have been a problem, which was clearly explained to my opponent. As it was I was going to have a less than desirable lead up week as I would have been working over 12 hours a day all week and on weigh in day. In any case the promoters scrapped the idea of any of the fights being held the following week anyway. My opponent is saying the fight won’t be rescheduled, first I’ve heard of it, I guess she saw me at weigh in and is scared to fight me on the next Destiny as is what should be happening and already agreed to at my end, at our originally agreed weight of 50.8kg.

22.01.2022 Wayback Wednesday... My favourite part of pre fight. Im all relaxed and social and laughing and joking until my hands are done. From that point on the smile is gone, the laughter stops, no more talking, its now game time and the Death Ray comes out. Rub down, warm up, last minute pep talk and then the fun part of walking out and finally getting to put into place everything you have worked on during fight prep. I love it, I love Muay Thai, and I love pushing myself beyond the point I think I can day in and day out behind the scenes to do what people think I cant in front of everyone!
