15.01.2022 Here is how neuroscienctific journal Neuron represented cell interaction in the August edition. What better way to do it but through a music inspired represen...tation. Here is the description of the artwork: "The cover artistically represents neurons working in a coordinated manner. Both the most obvious signals (the melody, in red, analogous to the activity of place cells) and the least obvious ones (the accompaniment, in black, which represents the activity of the non-place cells) characterize the neural code and therefore provide a far richer repertoire for the brain to represent information, in a way similar to how a composer can re-modulate a piece in different harmonies but with the same melody.

07.01.2022 Last Saturday our Junior String Ensemble performed their second concert of the year. JSE were fortunate enough to get a concert in before covid restrictions hit... in March and so this second concert had a lot of adjustments from their first concert. The Junior String Ensemble, under the baton of Chen Yang, performed 4 pieces - Rachel Merton's The Tree of Life and arrangements of Vivaldi's La Notte from 'Flute Concerto in G Minor', von Suppe's Light Cavalry Overture, Ginastera's Danza Final from 'Estancia' We had some technical difficulties at the beginning of the livestream but our JSE musicians rose to occasion and obliged to re-record their first piece. Thank you to our live streaming team, Jason from JTV Video and Paul from 5stream for their spectacular work and problem-solving to ensure this was all sorted out.
