17.01.2022 Welcome! Thanks for stopping by. After all, this is all for you. My name is rachel austin and I am here to provide a safe and respectful space for you to connect back in with yourself. The practices I share are rooted in the sacred, ancient and powerful Himalayan yogic tradition. My role is to guide you through deep healing and transformative experiences so that you may transcend, grow and evolve. I am here to connect with you, to support you and encourage you to go deeper. ...I am here to hold space so that you can learn to honour your body and mind so that you may foster a deeper sense of unity and knowingness within. Through the primordial vedic + tantric teachings and wisdom, we can navigate the path of healing. Through working with our energetic bodies via the chakras, kundalini, kriya (evolutionary action), pranayama (breath) and meditation we begin to understand how to master our life force energy. Through working with our physical body in asana & pranayama we can choose to build power, strength and resolve or sink into softness, relaxation and letting go all of which are necessary and all must be revered. Through sacred ritual we can connect to something larger than ourselves, to help refine our state of consciousness and tune into a state of receptivity and grace. Yoga, in all its many forms, is an incredibly rich pathway to truly nourish our body, mind and soul. By allowing yourself to explore these practices and techniques you are reconnecting not only to your innate intuition, wisdom and inner peace but also to the earth, nature and each other. This is a practice for the self. A practice to reflect. A practice to take care. A practice for you.

03.01.2022 YOG-VEDANTIC MANTRA MEDITATION When I first started meditating I used the headspace app or attempted a sit down silent practice focusing on my breath. These practices and techniques are are a great way to get into meditation but after two or so years of sporadic meditating through the apps and self guided meditation I found myself not really moving past the level of noticing thoughts. All I found was that I noticed a lot of fucking thoughts. And so, when I finally invested i...n learning to meditate, using a mantra was completely game changing. I found myself dropping in quickly into that space of silence, stillness and had incredible experiences of overwhelming bliss and joy. Now, my meditations leave me in this semi stoned state where I feel open, expansive and like my heart is completely open. Coming into these elevated states of being is SO BEAUTIFUL to begin and finish my day with. As someone who often had repeating, looping thoughts, meditation has been key for my recovery from depression / anxiety and I often can’t believe how joyful and full of pure ease and happiness I am after meditating. So, what is mantra meditation? Mantra based meditation is the practice of using ancient mantras (sounds) from the sacred Sanskrit language to come into a deeply meditative state, to expand your awareness and raise yourself into higher states of consciousness. Man means heart and Tra means expansion and liberation so mantra means that we work with the expansive energy of the electromagnetic field of the heart. A key element of using mantra is to chant from the heart, for the power of the mantra lies within the heart. When we chant a mantra to ourselves silently in meditation, we create a subtle experience in our energetic bodies through repetition and focus. The mantra helps to cancel out all other thoughts and anchors oneself in mental clarity and stillness. Join me tomorrow at 6am for sunrise breath work @ first bay, Coolum beach and I’ll be sharing a simple & easy mantra based meditation for you to take home so you can begin up leveling your meditation practice image @ryancarlstudio
