08.01.2022 KEEP AN EYE OUT!!! Something we always recommend anyone with pallet racking to look out for is DEFLECTION in your beams! This is the bowing of the middle section of the horizontal beams, caused by overloading. Our auditors are trained to look out for this and can recommend the best course of action if they happen to spot some. Deflected beams are in serious risk of collapse so it’s something you absolutely do not want to ignore! We’ve been seeing it a lot lately so take act...ion now and check your beams!!! 08.01.2022 We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again NO HOME JOBS!!! Here we have another case that we often see where the customer has tried to create their own solution to a pallet racking problem. You can see from the picture there’s a drop off in the concrete flooring and they have fashioned their own (and we use the term very loosely) solution by attaching the racking to a piece of timber and used baseplates and levelling plates to bring the racking up to the level of the conc...rete slab. And while you may think GREAT! There is one huge problem IT’S NOT STRUCTURALLY SOUND! One wrong move and this would all come tumbling down. But! Luckily, our sister repair company Sunst8 Group are in the process of rectifying this defect and others in this warehouse to bring it all back up to standard. We BEG you! Don’t do it yourselves! 03.01.2022 Our Milk Runs are a service we offer clients who have multiple properties and plan their audits to fall on consecutive days or even the same day depending on the size of the property and their proximity. It’s a way our customers can reduce the cost of the audit process and further incentivises them to continue their annual checks. The reason we can offer this service, is our auditor’s knowledge of all racking brands in the market! So no matter what you’ve got, we can audit it...! Our admin team works closely with the client to work out the best times for each property to ensure there is minimal disruption to their sites. We’re now commencing one of our annual Milk Runs that we complete for a national client. Our auditor will be making their way between all their sites stretching from inland NSW to Far Northern QLD!
