22.01.2022 Im very sorry to say that due to new and increasing Covid-19 cases in areas that I provide driving instruction, Ive decided to eliminate any risk to my students and family and have ceased lessons immediately. There were 9 cases in one area today alone. This is very frustrating for everyone and I ask for your patience at this time. Drew

20.01.2022 Driving lessons in Australia... always different Have a great, safe weekend with the ones you love.

19.01.2022 Further info on my last post. Vic Roads have informed my students for those approved for a licence exemption assessment have to attend Vic Roads with a parent or supervisor however the student must sit for their test with the Vic Roads assessing officer alone in the car. Ie no instructor parent or supervisor. If and when this changes I will advise. Any questions relating to the test assessment or requirements for the day, please dont hesitate to get in contact with me. Drew

19.01.2022 Effective immediately, all Licence and Hazard perception tests have been cancelled by Vic Roads. There will be many disappointed students and parents but Im sure everyone can understand. Be safe and take care. Ill keep you updated. Drew

18.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I like you are looking forward to commencing driving lessons soon. As frustrating as its been, Im sure we are nearly there, albeit a few weeks more. A couple of students have applied for an exemption to go for their licence in Mooroolbark which have been approved by Vic Roads. If you think you qualify then complete the form attached and send it to Vic Roads. Im available to attend the test with you in these circumstances. Any questions please give me a call.... Regards Drew https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au//covid-19-application-for-

18.01.2022 With the School holidays coming up and Vic Roads being booked out for nearly 3 weeks consider booking well ahead when planning your Licence. If I can help with you with either Manual or Automatic driving, please get in touch. Drew drivingforlifedriveschool.com

17.01.2022 Id like to congratulate Marcus,Toby and Mitchell, who drove to the conditions around the anomaly of road works in Bundoora, all being successful with their Ps test. Its not easy when most other drivers arent adhering to the 40 zones. Keep this in mind next time your approaching and travelling through road works.

16.01.2022 Awesome job this week Cody and Sam. I know you guys have been hanging to go for your Ps, now you can enjoy driving wherever you want. Dont forget the little tips we shared. Be safe on your travels! Drew

15.01.2022 After one of my students booked a fresh licence booking for next week, it appears that Vic Roads are opening more slots for licence tests. If you have been considering booking your licence but havent because you thought there was a back log, try logging on as you may get a booking sooner than later. Any question or problems please dont hesitate to contact me.

15.01.2022 A massive congratulations to Riley and Connor. The pressure of being a twin.... who goes first? Then if they pass... Great drive today boys, all your hard work and lots of practice pays off in the end.

15.01.2022 Well done and a big congratulations to Brynie, Lauren, Rachel and Gemma. Solo driving is an exciting time and a great reward for all your hard work. For more than one of you, the journey has been longer than 5 years of driving. NEVER GIVE UP. Well done. Drew

14.01.2022 After the fine was withdrawn from the Vic learner, this article is helpful and provides a lot of truths.

14.01.2022 Finally after nearly a month without an auto vehicle, our corolla auto is ready to go. Both our drive school vehicles are equipped with disinfectant wipes and have been detailed inside and out to minimise any risk. This wont help with your speed or head checks however. Looking forward to being able to provide automatic lessons again.

13.01.2022 Being a short week, Bundoora Vic roads was the busiest Ive ever seen it on Tuesday, it was simply crazy. Hats off to their great staff. Negotiating this madness brilliantly were Adam, David and Nathan all having successful driving tests. Congratulations gentlemen.

12.01.2022 Theres too many 4s in this picture!

11.01.2022 Im not superstitious but I have seen 3 major accidents today and people seem to be a little more impatient than normal. Police and SES have one side of Laurimar primary blocked. Friday the 13th please take care.

11.01.2022 This is all too familiar out on our roads. More patience is required for our learners.

11.01.2022 Congratulations Marcus and Alex on passing your ps this week. An excellent result after a superb preparation. Keep up your observation and head checks. Remember theyre not just for the test. Drew

10.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all the families that Ive been fortunate enough to be associated with over the last 6 years. Thank you very much for your support and referrals. Please, stay safe when travelling this festive season. Drew.

10.01.2022 Good morning, With all the changes happening around bookings and procedures , its a busy time trying to sort out licence preparation. If you have a question about the current situation or your plans, please dont hesitate to get in contact with me. There are possibly 6 new testing sites which would be unfamiliar to everyone. ... I look forward to answering any questions you may have. Drew See more

10.01.2022 January is always a busy time of the year for licences, Id also like to congratulate Christian, Michelle,Brody, Marcus and Jade. Each of you had different conditions and weather on your test day as no test is EVER the same. Driving to the conditions is the ingredient for success.

09.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I have had lots of requests for driving lessons since yesterdays announcement. At this point Vic Roads are not open only specific outlets for exemption Licence testing. Lessons with instructors are not encouraged for everyones safety. Doing lessons with a member of your household is fine. When we get the all clear I will advise. Until then stay as safe as you can. Drew

09.01.2022 For the first time I can remember we have a genuine chance of having 0 fatalities on our roads this Easter. Keep safe. Drew

09.01.2022 Good morning, Im now taking bookings for the 9th of June onwards. At this stage Vic Roads are conducting licence tests in their own vehicles now for approved licence exemptions until the end of June. Ill be back in contact tonight for any new enquires and also to my students who have been patiently waiting for a drive. Kind regards ... Drew See more

07.01.2022 With less than a month to go until Christmas, keep in mind our drive school vouchers when considering gifts for your learner. Help them stay safe, Invest in driving lessons for the one you know and love.

06.01.2022 NEWS-the new Hazard perception test ( required prior to going for your Ps test) is in operation at most vic roads. 3 practice questions and 25 test questions, rather than the 4 practice and 28 test questions. The quality of the picture is very clear unlike the previous test. NOTE. Bookings for the Hazard perception test are out to the end of May with changes to the International licence process having an effect. If you are considering going for your Ps get both tests booked ASAP with vic roads and your Instructor to avoid disappointment. www.drivingforlifedriveschool.com

05.01.2022 Awesome drive today Annika!!Congratulations on passing your ps test. You now have to work on that name for your Alfa!

04.01.2022 With all the pending closures Vic roads will have to make a decision regarding their offices, being a very busy hub. Licence testing could be suspended or even cancelled. As soon as I have any news or direction from their office I will let everyone know. Students entering the car for lessons have hand sanitiser for before and after their drive and anyone that is sick unfortunately wont be doing their lessons. Drew

03.01.2022 My daughter practicing her Driving about 8 years ago. How time goes, if I can help your daughter or son with their driving please give me a call.

03.01.2022 Good morning, We are back tomorrow. After 3 and a half months of having the driving school on hold, Its so great to say, Im available for bookings and lessons now. If interested I still have a couple of spots available for later this week. Thank you for all your messages asking if I was ok and enquires on when the drive school would return. I look forward to seeing everyone ASAP! Kind regards ... Drew

03.01.2022 To all my wonderful students. We have been asked to stop providing driving lessons as they are not essential services. Those with licence bookings at this stage will go ahead with vic roads who are reviewing their services daily. With a staff member testing positive for the COV-19 at an office where they dont provide licence tests, I believe its only a matter of time before Vic Roads closes it offices. Its is not fair on the staff or anyone to be at risk or to be potentially exposed. Yes its an inconvenience, but the consequences could be far worse. Please give me a call if you wish to discuss your personal circumstances. Im sorry for any inconvenience Drew

02.01.2022 You never know whats around the corner. Sharing the road...

01.01.2022 I would like to congratulate Ashley, James and Ben on passing their Ps test during the past week. Preparing around Vic Roads prior is the key to success as you get a trial run at similar conditions. Every test is different however the road direction is the same. Drive to the conditions always. Be safe on your solo driving. Drew
