With the COVID-19 situation rapidly evolving, One Mile Motors is guided by two priorities: Ensuring our customer & employee safety whilst still providing the same quality service that youre used to. 21.01.2022 Dear Members RACV will be upgrading to a new and exciting computer systems as of Monday 17 August 2020. Unfortunately that means that the RACV system both instore, call centre and online will be unavailable from Thursday 13 August 11pm until Monday 17 August 7am.... Due to this we have decided to close the store for the day on Friday 14 August 2020. We will be open at 9am on Monday 17 August with an amazing system that will benefit the members and the staff. 15.01.2022 As the Covid-19 situation evolves, RACV Wangaratta will keep making choices to ensure that our staff, our members, the community and those who interact with us are kept as safe as possible. At this stage RACV Wangaratta is still open for business as we are considered as an essential business under the Banking and Finance sector. We will work very hard to continue to operate for as long as possible until advised otherwise. We are continuing to be proactive and have put t...he required measures in place to manage all of the potential risks we are facing on a daily basis. As the Government continues to reiterate that Social Distancing needs to be taken very seriously by everyone, we have put the following measures in place as a business and to help our staff, customers and the wider community; * We only have two staff working at a time to keep the required 1.5 metres distance between staff. * We have put tables in front of our work stations to keep the required 1.5 metres distance between staff and customers. * We have taken away the waiting area chairs, and the customer desk and telephone to stop the person to person transfer. * We are asking our waiting customers to stand the required 1.5 metres away from any other waiting customer. * All surfaces are getting cleaned between every customer. * Our staff are constantly washing their hands with soap and using hand sanitizer. * We are asking all staff members and customers if they have recently returned from overseas, been in contact with someone with Covid-19 or are displaying flu like symptoms to not come into the store but contact us via telephone on 03 5722 1292 instead. * Asking that any non essential business be done via the telephone on 03 5722 12 92. 01.01.2022 Throwback Thursday Emergency Roadside Assistance RACV commenced emergency roadside assistance in 1924. At the beginning the service consisted of four mechanics riding BSA motorcycles. They patrolled the main traffic routes in and out of the city during the week and the roads to the hills and the bay on Sundays, carrying their tools in sidecars. As well as having excellent mechanical knowledge, patrolmen were required to administer first aid if required. They dressed in a smart khaki uniform with royal blue collar and cuffs, a badged cap and gloves.
