24.01.2022 Maddy Appreciation Post For many of you who have been following the Radicool Reptiles journey throughout the years, you'd be pretty used to seeing my face... But I want to take some time out to give thanks to this incredible human I'm honoured to call my friend. ... This is Maddy, and for anyone who has seen us at community events or birthday experiences, schools or learning centres, chances are you would have met our humble Maddy. Never in photographs, she won't allow it (although sometimes I can snap her when she's not watching me) She's the one in the background smiling at the kids, quietly teaching them cool facts about our animals, carrying the heavy stuff, picking up the animal poops, or just generally being a legend. She's the one who fixes my IT issues when I'm about to throw the computer against the wall, helps me to type long sentences , tells me where I'm driving, encourages me to keep going when things get tough and helps me to feed and care for a million animals. Including the feeding of rats and mice (her worst nightmare!) to the snakes. She wakes up at ridiculous hours so we can be on time to make others happy and provide a wonderful experience. She never asks for a thing. I've known Mads since she was a little tacker kicking around in primary school with my daughter. They're still good friends till this day. Mads, you will always be part of our family. You are and will always be a true friend of mine. We're kindred spirits you and I (I don't know if that makes me young or you old , so let's meet somewhere in the middle!) I'm incredibly proud of the woman you have become, and it's time the world got to see you looking so beautiful and radiant Maddy, congratulations on completing year 12 and getting accepted into your chosen university degree. You look stunning for your formal tonight and I hope you have fabulous night!! Keep kicking goals like this Mads and you'll be working with the elephants before you know it! I know you're going to kill me later for posting this, but I don't care... it's your time to shine Mads! Love ya guts xxx
