Tonight 5MBS will be playing La vide breve or 'Life is Short' by Manuel de Falla and Goyescas or The Gallants in Love by Enrique Granados. Life is Short was first performed in Nice France in April 1913. The complete opera is rarely performed because it is very short. Life is Short follows a young gypsy woman who falls in love with a well-to-do man and attempts to woo him. The Gallants in Love is a piano suite inspired by the work of Spanish artist Francisco Goya.
