There was a peace prayer organised by us at the Glenwood Sikh Temple. 38-year-old woman who died in the Sydney Siege has been identified as Katrina Dawson, a barrister.... On behalf of our team and volunteers at Turbans 4 Australia, would like to wish all our supporters and well wishers a very Happy New year 2021.... We know, many of us faced unpredictable times in our personal and professional lives but together we have all pulled through. Our whole team has been very busy since the 2019-20 bushfires and now the COVID19 relief centres in Sydney(Liverpool, Harris Park and Balcktown), Melbourne (Whittlesea), Canberra, Queanbeyan, Wollongong, Gold Coast and Brisbane. We would also like to thanks the local councils and their staff, local and federal Politicians, our partners charities, suppliers and supporters. A special thanks to all the media, who covered our work and shared the stories with all of you and beyond. The last 12 months have been nothing we have ever seen before, with your unconditional love and support we have delivered thousands of meals, hampers, tools, and truck loads of groceries, personal care items and toys. Many of our regular events got cancelled or postponed but it’s the nature of the beast, we have to look at the bigger picture. Surely we will be back bigger and better.
