Border bubble residents can still use their drivers license to pass through checkpoints and will NOT need to apply for a permit. The areas which will become green zones include Albury City, Balranald Shire, Bega Valley Shire, Berrigan Shire, City of Broken Hill, Edward River Council, Federation Council, Greater Hume Shire, Hay Shire, Lockhart Shire, Murray River Council, Murrumbidgee Council, Snowy Monaro Regional Council, Snowy Valleys Council, City of Wagga Wagga and Wentworth Shire. We know that our Melbourne friends love and miss the Murray just as much as we have and that our regional Vic friends are still unable to set foot into NSW without a valid permit.... So it’s probably more important than ever to encourage our border bubble buddies to head over the bridge and support local business over there. If you’re worried about traffic, outside peak times it’s pretty straightforward and this week the weather is great and the walk over is easy.
