A permit will still be required, but as we will be listed as a green zone, there's no longer a need to isolate or obtain a COVID test upon returning to Victoria. Permits can be obtained here: https://www.service.vic.gov.au/.../border.../Transaction... We look forward to seeing you soon.

13.01.2022 While residents of the "border bubble" are allowed to use the Murray River, the remainder of regional Victoria is still forbidden due to the NSW border restrictions.

13.01.2022 Our community has finally turned green! It’s so wonderful that Victorians outside the border bubble can now travel into the green regional NSW areas and not ne...ed to be tested on your way home. (You will of course need a permit that can be obtained quickly!) There’s still plenty of holiday time left. If you’re interested in coming, hit this link and check out our region’s accommodation, attractions, nature based activities, and food and wine. https://www.echucamoama.com/summer #visitechucamoama Photo credit: @neil_mccarthy_photography

11.01.2022 With changes to regional Victorian restrictions largely coinciding with the school holidays, Echuca Moama Accommodation Association president Grant Casbolt said there were positive signs.

09.01.2022 Hooray!! Victoria achieves another milestone - 28 days without a new Covid infection. This means Covid has been "eliminated" epidemiologically speaking. Well done everyone!

08.01.2022 Moama will become a green zone from 6pm tonight! This means that Victorians from OUTSIDE the border bubble will be free to travel into these areas (with a ...permit to re-enter VIC), and will NOT need to be tested when they return home. Border bubble residents can still use their drivers license to pass through checkpoints and will NOT need to apply for a permit. The areas which will become green zones include Albury City, Balranald Shire, Bega Valley Shire, Berrigan Shire, City of Broken Hill, Edward River Council, Federation Council, Greater Hume Shire, Hay Shire, Lockhart Shire, Murray River Council, Murrumbidgee Council, Snowy Monaro Regional Council, Snowy Valleys Council, City of Wagga Wagga and Wentworth Shire. 06.01.2022 Righto! We’ve made a step in the right direction. Those of us from Regional Vic can access the river regardless of whether we’re in the Border Bubble region or not! At the same time, it feels like this celebration is missing something, that it’s a bit bittersweet. We know that our Melbourne friends love and miss the Murray just as much as we have and that our regional Vic friends are still unable to set foot into NSW without a valid permit.... So it’s probably more important than ever to encourage our border bubble buddies to head over the bridge and support local business over there. If you’re worried about traffic, outside peak times it’s pretty straightforward and this week the weather is great and the walk over is easy. In the meantime, you can advocate to local Members of Parliament to open up our border to Regional Victoria. It’s time, we miss you! #awakenechucamoama See more

02.01.2022 We’re excited to announce that we’re reopening on Monday 21 September 2020, just in time for the school holidays! We’ll be open every day from 10am 5pm PLUS... we’ve got a couple of exciting programs these holidays that we’ll announce here soon. Seriously, you’re going to love them! Our staff, volunteers and animals can’t wait to open our gates again and welcome visitors into the Park. We’ll have precautions in place to ensure the Park is COVID safe. We won’t be able to run our usual daily animal interactions. This is to protect both visitors and staff by avoiding people gathering in groups in one spot. But if you want to see keeper talks, check out the Fauna Fun Facts videos we’ve been posting on this page. See you in 5 sleeps!
