17.01.2022 Had the pleasure of seeing this in the flesh. Quite majestic for its day. Normally the GEs use a cheap BSR turntable, but not this one. Fitted with a top end AT6 Garrard with cast platter. The chassis is standard issue GE , but the rest is something else.

03.01.2022 Solid state electronics in vintage equipment can be worse than valve . Every part here from an Astor radiogram is 80% out of spec. The ceramic capacitors are almost shorts. You either bin it or fix it.

02.01.2022 Astounds me the mentality . Radio restorers who leave the old can capacitors in circuit and just fit one old newer or one new capacitor. I cant fathom the stupidity of leaving old electrolitics in circuit. The poor customer still ends up with a burnt out set.
