25.01.2022 Quick test before the finishing touches.

25.01.2022 There you have it.

24.01.2022 Why do people continue to not listen or believe what happens when you should not use vintage electronics before being serviced.

20.01.2022 Not many radiograms will track at 2.5 grams . These do and sound great as well. Testing on a good recording.

20.01.2022 Why coils and transformers fail....Corrosion. The windings just fall apart. Here is a field coil. But transformers are the same. And the piece of the winding that fell out.

20.01.2022 Baby Kriesler stretching its lungs. Not bad for tiny 3 by 5 speakers.

19.01.2022 Top end in their day

18.01.2022 Same song different sound

17.01.2022 If in Fremantle, a must visit for music lovers.

17.01.2022 Healing at its best.

17.01.2022 Had the pleasure of seeing this in the flesh. Quite majestic for its day. Normally the GEs use a cheap BSR turntable, but not this one. Fitted with a top end AT6 Garrard with cast platter. The chassis is standard issue GE , but the rest is something else.

16.01.2022 Cabinets ready to go to get the finish professionally restored.

16.01.2022 How long do repairs take.

16.01.2022 Usual Garrard dealings.

14.01.2022 People should leave things alone when they have no clue as to what is going on.

14.01.2022 Couple of Dynatrons. These vary between models I have seen.

14.01.2022 Just about every turntable needs painting.

09.01.2022 Murphy Portable.

07.01.2022 Top of the range . Available now

06.01.2022 Sometimes a simple repair turns out to be an expensive one. People should not touch things their brains were not designed to do.

03.01.2022 Solid state electronics in vintage equipment can be worse than valve . Every part here from an Astor radiogram is 80% out of spec. The ceramic capacitors are almost shorts. You either bin it or fix it.

03.01.2022 Caprices, nice style and sound. Through the years they have been popular.

02.01.2022 Why do radiograms die before their time......because idiots do this and destroy the amp. WTF were they thinking. Seriously

02.01.2022 Astounds me the mentality . Radio restorers who leave the old can capacitors in circuit and just fit one old newer or one new capacitor. I cant fathom the stupidity of leaving old electrolitics in circuit. The poor customer still ends up with a burnt out set.
