Sometimes that announces i...tself in genetically enhanced voices; at other times through a subtle yin-yang of two halves creating a whole. This Thursday on HIGHWAY BLUES we have 3 duos...or more to the point 2 musicians joining to produce an album resulting in some great Soul/Blues...R&B and Jazz/Blues. Mike Sanchez has declared it as probably his finest album to date. Almost Grown features globally renowned Rock 'n' Roll diva Imelda May singing several red-hot rockin' tracks. At the time she was a star on the Rock 'n' Roll and Rhythm & Blues scenes, but was yet to achieve the wider acclaim that has followed. Individually, Tiffany Pollack and Eric Johanson are both powerhouses in the Louisiana music scene she as an established jazz vocalist and he as a rising singer and blues-rock guitarist. Together for the first time here, they create a New Orleans flavoured album guaranteed to have you yearning for more. To finish off the show we have the duo when your not having a duo!! The band Soul Suga & Diane Durrett join at times to form a great duo creating some very nice Soul/Blues. 14.01.2022 BISEP are the grateful recipients of just shy of $45,000.00 in grant funding through the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal`s Investing in Rural Communit...y Fund. These funds will enable BISEP to establish a robust governance structure and knowledge base from which to support other local not for profit organisations.
