25.01.2022 Morning all, Quick post to let you know there will be a EP twilight meeting this Friday night. Track will be open from the point the first key turns up, hopefully around 5. Depending on numbers we'll be looking at starting the first round @ 6.30. So dust off the 1:8th EP GT's, get the TC's ready for another round of racing and head over to http://radioracingcarssa.org.au//2021-twilight-series-roun get those entries in. ... The fine details of the racing format is still in the works and will be decided before the racing starts.

24.01.2022 Morning all, Well it's that time of the year again. AGM time. This Friday (2nd July) at 7.30 we are holding the AGM at the Anembo Park Sports Clubrooms. Over the last couple of years there has been talk amongst members and the committee about upgrades to help put us on the world stage as a potential World Title location. ... The local council are putting together a scheme to inject money into the Sports park to attract more people to use the facility. They have also indicated if we'd like to use the parcel of land between the track and bike park we can put in a proposal to make it happen. These opportunities could help get the ball rolling to achieve a World Title event. As part of the AGM all committee positions are vacated making way for people to be nominated into positions. There are a couple people looking at stepping down from roles so it would be great to get a few new faces on the committee to help drive the club forward. So if you'd like to help at the committee level please come along and put your hat in the ring. See you all Friday. The Committee

18.01.2022 Evening all, Most of you may have heard Steven Marshall announce today all sporting activities contact and non-contact are to be ceased immediately effective 11:59pm 16th November. This unfortunately includes us. The committee has spoken tonight and, with great sadness, have decided to cancel the final club rounds. Starting with this weekend's EP round and the following weekends LS/IC round. ... If, all things going well, the restrictions are relaxed in two weeks time, allowing us to gather again, we shall endeavour to hold both the final rounds on the first weekend in December. So don't pack them up just yet for the year. As we have done over the past 6-7 months we shall be working closely with APRSA, Mt Barker council and SAPOL to do our best to make sure we can. We'll be in touch when we have more information. All the best, The RRCSA committee.

16.01.2022 Some more photos of Sunday

15.01.2022 Afternoon all, The committee has been discussing the current situation with the end of the championship and the upcoming Christmas party. As of today the championship is being called. So the committee would like to congratulate the follow; LS Mini 1st. Greg Dewar 2nd. Joel Miller 3rd. Warren Meissner LS Sedan 1st. Mark Ruta 2nd. Ian Ferguson 3rd. Cooper Harris LS Truck 1st. Warren Meissner 2nd. Greg Dewar 3rd. Steve Young ISTC 13.5t 1st. Martin Grantham 2nd. Sean Perry 3rd. Steven Coro IC 1:8th Pan Car 1st. Michael Ali 2nd. David Malone 3rd. George Valentzas We are still hopeful the restrictions will be relaxed to allow us to run some social race meetings on the first weekend of December. EP - 5th December and LS/IC - 6th December. So watch this space. Hopefully we should know on Monday the 30th of November if this can happen and will let all know asap. With Christmas party it's scheduled to be on the 12th December. Sorry to say unless our COVID safe plan is increased to where it was before the latest round we are going to cancel it as well. The committee would like all friends and family to attend rather than a select group. If this happens we shall postpone the event and will endeavour to hold something after Christmas or in the new year. For now stay safe and look the forward to seeing you all at the track soon. 13.01.2022 Afternoon all. Quick update on more work on the kerbs. Yesterday a few were at the track painting the new kerbs and refreshing the existing ones. We also installed a new fence along the pit wall which adds a safety measure for running the track in the opposite direction for parts of the upcoming season. We still need to paint the blue and red portions of the new and existing kerbs which we should be doing tomorrow. Anyone with the time to help out would be greatly appreciated. Message the usual suspects for timing and availability.

05.01.2022 Afternoon all. It appears our last post has caused quite the stir of emotions. As part of the upcoming season it has been suggested we run the track in reverse, the EP guys have run a state and nationals title in the direction with raving reviews. So we thought we'd offer it to the LS and potentially IC racers. A few months back, at a LS/IC drivers briefing, before a club round multiple track layout, including reverse direction, amongst other suggestions for next season wer...e spoken about. With no objections. As an outcome of that and other discussions with a few members, when the reverse direction was suggested it was brought to our attention there were safety concerns with the speed of the cars back down through the esses towards the pit wall. With this in mind we have been investigating a couple of options. These being placing a dot in the middle of the esses that creates more of a corner slowing the cars quite considerably. The other a fence/safety barrier in the event a car leaves the track. To stop the car potentially ending up in the area infront of the timing shed and injuring spectators or bystanders. The fence was always intended to be only used if the track is run in reverse and is deemed necessary. It is temporary and can be installed or removed at a moment's notice. It has been installed in the initial as part of trialling running the track in reverse. We never intended for it to be a permanent feature and will not be there for the first round. If anyone has suggestions on how to improve or enhance the fence with what has been done we are happy to discuss. So what is the trial... This weekend the track will be layed out as per the reverse direction (see attached graphic). If you have the time come up and give it a go. For those that can't make it this weekend we intend on setting the track up after the finals of the first round (10th January) for people to have a go and give feedback. We need you, the members (LS & IC), to let us know by giving the layout a go. We understand it's potentially a big shift and quite different to what people are used to. All we ask is you come and try it. Once you've driven it you can better decide on whether it gets included in this year's season schedule. In closing we would like to add. The track layout changes are only for club rounds. When it comes to the IC & LS State titles the track direction will be the traditional layout.

05.01.2022 Evening all. The lights are in a position to start being used. So this coming friday night (22nd January) we are holding a trial to see how they fair and what layouts best work under the lights. So if you're free this friday night head on up and have a drive. The timing should be up and running from around 6. Depending on numbers and what classes we have attending we may set up a few races. Otherwise it will be an open track. ... Depending on how things go. We're looking at running a 4-5 friday night round series. At the moment we'll keep it to EP cars only Friday night. Because.... The forecast for this weekend is another hot one with over 36 both days. It has been suggested we move the meeting to the Saturday (23nd January) afternoon and make it twilight meeting and racing under lights. Kicking off around 4pm. How great is it to have lights Can we get a show of hands of those that would be able to attend a twilight meeting on the saturday. If attending please head over to the website and enter http://radioracingcarssa.org.au//lsic-club-championship-ro

05.01.2022 Hi All, Quick post to let you all know about the upcoming EP club championship. This year the plan is to run three layouts. Each layout will be run for a total of 7 rounds. You can check the calendar on the website http://radioracingcarssa.org.au/calendar/ for the rounds when the track will be changed. The first track off the ranks will be the track we ran in the last 4 rounds at the "Wind it up cup". To prompt your memory we have attached a picture of the layout to this post.... The next track will be announced after the 7th round. If you'd like to suggest a layout put it forward to Sean or Reece. 11 months can be a long period to commit to a championship. A suggestion that has been put forward is splitting the club championship into a summer and winter series. Both running across 10 rounds with the bottom two rounds being dropped. With the culmination of both series crowning the Club champion for the year. This will allow those that can't make it for a number of events in a period to still concentrate on placing in a "series" and those wanting to work towards the Club championship to be able to. As this is a pretty big shift from what has been done in the past we'll put it to a vote within the EP guys at the first meeting on January 16. Lastly. We are hoping the lights will be in working order in the next week or so. Once up and running we'll be organising a night catch up to trial the lights and then possibly a few night race meetings that will be its own series. Details to be confirmed. Time to get excited and get those cars ready for some great racing. All the best Sean and Reece
