18.01.2022 It’s moments like this that just make me so grateful to have the flexibility in my schedule. Part of my planning and scheduling process includes looking at what’s coming up, like school holidays. I absolutely could have put my daughter into vacation care and continued on with our normal routine and that was an option I considered. But I also started my business to work around my daughter and to be able to be a parent without needing to ask for time off. So school holidays are a balance of fun days and quiet days, and lots of planned creation time for me.

This was a conversation I had with a mum friend today. And I know she’s not alone. 15.01.2022 Did you know I actually block out my calendar and don’t schedule calls for between 2:30pm- 8pm? I could choose to work. I could send Miss to after ... school care and pick her up at 5pm. But then I’d miss these moments and this smile. I’m never completely uncontactable in this time but I do make sure I have the freedom to choose. Being a mum already has so many variables. I don’t know what kind of day Miss has had before I pick her up, so I don’t put the extra pressure on myself or her. 13.01.2022 Let’s talk more about getting out of the false productivity cycle and creating those results! . . . I LOVE the 80/20 principle but if 80% of your results are coming from 20% of your efforts, how do you identify the 20% that’s generating results? ... One analogy I love is the comparison to weight loss training. Anyone who has had a trainer has heard the concept that 80% of losing weight (80% result) is your diet (20% effort), it doesn’t matter how hard you train if you’re not fuelling your body right. And diet is often the easiest change you can make. Similarly, if you’re not putting that 20% of the right things into your business you’re not going to be able to generate your output aka clients and income! For business your 20% input that can make all the difference is making sure you are talking to the right people (your audience!), in the right way (your copy!), and that you are claiming your space, and showing up! (your mindset!) If you haven’t got those 3 things sorted, you’re probably going around in circles and not generating results! The good news is those three things are learnable, adjustable, and fixable with motivation and the right guidance
